So , I'm even sorry that I have to blast another one of these "zapa bitching about canada" threads in your face , but this one really has to come out ... And I'd like to hear those that hate me for saying like this , try to explain to me why it has to be like this ...


So I'm driving from Niagara last night ... about 11:30 ... just before mountain road , the trafic STOPS ... and I mean STOPS ... Took 20 minutes to drive about half a kilometer .

Also it should be noted that there was a sign saying "Right lane blocked" ... the highway at this point had 2 lanes and I repeat it was 11:30 PM on a Tuesday night . . .

So I'm driving thinking WTF is going on . I did see cheries in front , but I figured not even canadians would setup a RIDE road block in the middle of the week on a highway .

I eventually get to the next exit , which was Mountain Road , and at this point I could see what's going on , but could not grasp the concept or the reasoning . There were 2 opp cruisers with doughnut eaters inside . They were driving about 1 km per hour ... didn't seem like they were moving , but they were . The highway was just starting it's third lane . The s were on the first and third lane . ALL the cars , and belive me it was FULL , were waiting about 50 meters behind the doughnut muncher cruisers . There were no road signs , highway was CLEAN , because i got out , and after 30 minutes of country roads I found another QEW entrance ...

This is mind blowing ... how can people let this go ... i'm sure the american would have something to say about this when going home , then we can all cry when americans keep on saying "canadians are dumb" . And how the can someone aproove of something like this ...

as for me ... I wanted to go home and sleep , I was up since 4 on the road ... and this turned a 50 minute drive into a 2:30 h adventure

Dude sorry for your bullshit you put up with. Unfourt, that is what we have to put up with. Those bullshit cops... Get this, one time i was taking QEW east, and an OPP Cop blocked the highway because the construction crew was cleaning the highway, not paving, cleaning with that stupid truck, about 1/2 a km back and forth for 15 mins on a tuesday night at like 6.

The cops are doing stupid , oh well... compare that problem to the problems other countries face, and then really stop to think about how stupid Canada really is. For all you know the cops could have been doing that for some reason you don't know, maybe they were searching for a weapon or something. Don't just come on here and start bitching until you know the whole story. I can't stand people that come here from another country and then complain.

If you don't like Canada, why did you immigrate here, and if its so bad, why don't you just go back to whatever amazing country you came from?

You're dumb. You're giving them because they blocked the highway so that a crew could clean it up? What are they supposed to do, let cars fly by at 120km/h while there is a slow moving vehicle sweeping off the road?

I guess they shouldn't have cleaned up the road then eh... oh but then someone else would be on here bitching about how their precious car was damaged from debris left on the road.

maybe i do like some things about this country , maybe i would consider myself canadian , maybe i'm hurting just because there's so much stupidity around me , and maybe i'm voicing my opinion out to improve my country ....

after all , if i'd just bend over and take it like a regular canadian i'd be no better than some of us who put up with anything they are told to put up with ...

however no matter what those stupid cops were dooing , it beter had be some atack or something , because if you didn't understand what I was saying , they stoped the flow on the highway at 11:30 ... They cut off the ONLY highway that goes from US / Niagra to toronto . If you think that's something "normal" then ... i'll stop here because i don't want to insult , i'm sure that the resulting judgement is insulting enough .

In fact i'll stop writting because i can just repeat myself at this point , and if some people think this is normal , then I guess you would have done really well in Auschwitz , you would have probably enjoyed it , because it was regulated by law

Give it 40 - 50 years , Canadians will be emigrating to china , if things keep on going down the drain like they have been in the past 10 years i've been going here , then Canada could be populated by beavers , garbage men and tow truck drivers , that actually like it here .

I consider my rights violated by such an act , they have done something deliberately without warning , , cars 100 m back had no clue if there was a plane crash , a RIDE stop , or a fat cop that fell asleep with his face falling into the doughnut box .
I had to face danger , driving back home , after 18 hours of work and 22 hours without sleep , trying to stay awake ... but what can i do about that ... bitch and complain ... because any legal action i'd try to take , would be quickly dismissed by the stupid ( looking for a cheeze cake emoticon ) . Or if they arn't that , they probaly won't understand what I'm saying .

well ill agree with you there. No matter what happens it seems no matter how out of line canadians will take it with a grain of salt. We don't stand up for ourselves. That or people just don't take it to heart like americans. But maybe we should.

Otherwise. Do you notice how much nicer it is here? like really. where are you from in the states? Our streets are cleaner, less crime, etc etc then most cities in the states for sure. Im glad i live here when i see how low things can get in big american cities compared to ours.

sorry , not from the states , i'm from europe so Toronto seems like a filthy city to me . i hate to think of what i'd say about new york , if i ever get drunk enough to decide to go there .

But whatever , it happends when there's a lot of people .

I was saying about the states , because you know ... people from the states who hit that roadblock last night , must have went home , taken a **** on the canadian flag and vowed to never come back here ... This is not something normal to do 15 km past the border on the only highway connecting the border with civilized life in the area ...

As for the grain of salt ... I find a lot of canadians don't take my bitching , or this type of bitching that i'm often guilty off , with a grain of salt . Actually I guess they release all the negative energy generated by dumb drivers , high insurance rates , corporate monopoly and other truly anoying things that are taken with a grain of salt in here , and release it , against people like me , who arn't blind to see them and complain about them
