Have you ever broken down and been stranded on the side of the road? Who helped you?
*for all you hard asses who know it all...Have you ever helped anyone?

Yep a bunch of times every once in a while a person would come over from a nearby house. I actually always help fbody owners it kinda seems like we have that unspoken obligation to each other.

believe it or not, back in June, I took my camaro down to my cousins grad party (she had been bragging to friends about it and they wanted to see it)...well the car really shouldnt have left the garage because I was having problems with my exhaust falling off at the catback/cat (which wanst a welded straight pipe at the time...is now though) when I took hard bumps.
long story short Im heading home on the highway and since I have such a harsh suspension I heard the exhaust go down, and I get off to the side. Well now Im screwed because Im in the dirt, my car sits sooo low that it's hard to get both my arms under to the exhaust, and plust the exhaust is so hot that it's burning through the leather gloves I had in the car.
here's the kicker. It's a saturday afternoon, and withouth trying to brag a ton, my car stands out and turns a ton of heads. I've got my 4 ways on, and it's a 3 lane hwy (35w north for those MNs).
No one does the courtesy 'switch lane' to avoid blasting me or my car, and what's worse NO ONE EVER STOPPED!!!
I had at least 2 dozen cars in the 45 minutes that I waited honk there horns, and shout things like "sweet car" and "All for show" (my license plate reads ALL4SHW.
In the end, no help (even 2 f-bodies drive by) and I get her home safe and sound.
I was stupid taking it out, but I think the "Minnesota Nice" was lacking in too many people that day.
that was a long post sorry, but wtf?

When my tranny went out, Cingular's Roadside Assistance helped me out. Every freaking car passing didn't help me push my car out the way either. Usually every car I've seen stranded, someone's there already.

I feel bad and want to stop for most people, but ever since that kid tried helping that lady change her tire and got killed, I kinda just look the other way....plus in minneapolis you never know if someone is faking it and is waiting to mess you up (a little paranoid I know)
what gets me worse than the stranded cars are the homeless people on the 4th stree Uni exit on 35....holding the signs and purposly mispelling for sympathy
sorry 'nother rant

my dad and i broke down in his 70 chevelle SS. he had valvetrain problems and didnt realize cause he only rebuilt the bottom end and thought the heads were fine. tow truck drove it from Kenosh, Wi(actually the same road that the Dragstrip is on, Great Lakes that is)to my house in palatine, then my mom drove us home in her car.
one time my friends and i pulled people out of the snow one night, with his durango and a tow strap. we helped like 3 people but didnt get **** for it. o well i wouldnta given any money either.lol

When I was 15 I was taking my GF home (illegally cuz it was only backroads) it was all rainy and in my 72 chevelle the wipers didn't work well, either did the headlights. Long story short, I accidentally gently put it in a 4 foot ditch after I dropped her off. About 2 minutes later a tractor pulled out from around one of the houses and pulled me out. I was so scared the cops were gonna come and never let me drive agian.
