pfft...i swapped in a b16b for only 5k in. motor has 75k on it and perfect compression.
btw b16b is the type r civic motor.

yea, i know what a b16b is. i dont know why you paid 5k for a 1.6l. you shoulda just bought a b16a2 and got alot farther with another 2.5k in it. or a gsr/itr for the same or less respectively.

those engines are a waste of money, if the swap could be done for less than 2000 then maybe it would be worth it. I can get hold of RB engines for less than 5 grand

ya i agree, but its a honda engine. they were the fad so the prices are jacked up

I would expect that the more popular it is, the more shops are able to do them and the more parts available that the price drop. Back in the day the ppl who were swapping the b16s and 18s were paying way more cause of diff mounts and who knows what else. Plus it was rare for a shop to acctually have worked on that kind of a swap.

true, but the b's drop into eg's without much modification, since the b16a2 came stock in japan. yea, but thats like all businesses, if everyone wants something, they know you want it so they can charge whatever.
