b/c its "street" racing. and yeh i agree w/ the lenghts. there was a episode where this guy just wanted to run heads up every time even though he was getting beat. he was another respectfull driver.

THey do it to add suspense... Okay, lets picture the show running one car that has 400hp vs one with 600, and they run heads up every race. Im pretty sure the 600hp is gonna win 3 right in a row, so where is the suspense? You forget this is a tv show, and they have to keep the viewers guessing whats gonna happen. So to make it fair they use lengths to give the car with lesser power a chance... They are afterall racing for titles. Would you give up your car that easy racing heads up every race? I think not. I personally dont mind it, it keeps me guessing whats gonna happen. The only thing I dont like on that show is when both crews get into a . At least one driver on that show is always a *****.

Because when most people hear 'lost by one second' they don't think its very much at all. But people can actually car lengths without having to realize that those 10 car lengths is actually only a second.

Since the show is trying to appeal to more people than just those who watch tv, they need to make it more appealing to viewers who might not know all about drag racing..

yeah i would be a jerk to i wouldnt want to lose a t/a if i had one like that .......but he showed respect

So instead of racing horribly mismatched cars, make the cars that race an even match. Simple as that. I'd rather watch that.
