I told them it was on a slow night to begin with and that he was saying it's slow compared to normal which is what I honestly think he was talking about.

Can't get too mad... i mean it's nothing that hasn't been said before. It does get slow, and sometimes (myself included) have uttered those same words. Just a shame. Could have been real good for the site if we landed that.
Well ends up they didn't want to advertise on the site but wanted to buy it. They called me at home and talked to me. Then they emailed me the offical offer. It was a couple grand but nowhere near where it would need to be for me to sell the site. So all is not lost.
