So about the vista thing, you have to have a "vista capable" XP windows on your computer. I know my new laptop does, but I don't think my desktop can. Unless anyone can upgrade. ?

the main things you need are at least a gig of ram, direct X 9 graphics card over a 1ghtz processor. the biggest thing is ram tho. all the gadgets and other cool things take a lot up. i have 2 gigs of 6400 ram and then i have a 1 gig flash drive that im using as ram as well. it runs super smooth....i love it

After we set up a new pc with vista last week, I think we found out that it idles at about 256 virtual memory or somthing...and thats after a FRESH install... Thats incredibly high compared to XP which idles like right under 100 or 128.
Yeah what brian said... you can run vista with lower specs, but you wont have the aero features (which is basically all the cool graphics) and some other features. Its pretty worthless to upgrade if you dont upgrade with aero, at least in my opinion.
