Random question: Shower curtain open or closed to prevent mold?
My roommate and I are in a disagreement (as petty as it is I thought I'd ask you all). Which method prevents mold better from collecting on a shower curtain - leaving it open (i.e. scrunched together) after a shower, or pulling it back closed.
I happen to believe that keeping it closed allows it it dry faster, and doesn't trap water as much, but he believes that it closes in the heat from the shower and doesn't provide proper ventilation.
so what say you? (boring I know, but bear with me for the sake of arguing something)

Wow.
Honestly I can't see it making a big difference. I think other factors are the main cause of how fast mold grows. Like how often you clean it, if you leave wet wash cloths in there, etc...

having it closed will prevent the mold.... open its al scrunched together and the mositure is traped, it doesnt help if there is ventilation where there is no curtian... there is also space above the curtian isnt there? heat raises and it will go out there

we've got one of those old-style bathtubs that needs a curtain all around (c'mon I'm in college and live in an old house)
but I'm glad to see that you all agree....regardless, my roommate is so thick headed that he won't give a **** either way...but alas I can prove a point
...you'd think someone who's majoring in biodmed engineering and astrophysics would understand such a simple concept but, meh.
