Sake?

Just curious, are their any sake drinkers here? I was always curious as to how sake tasted and I'm considering buying a bottle or two. If you had to compare sake with any other traditional liquor what would you compare it to?

I've had sake a couple of times.....its different. Its a rice wine, but it tastes more like a liquor than a wine. It is very hard to describe the taste, but I think its worth trying. Just make sure you drink it warm.

I agree, I don't care for it personally, but it has to be tried

Thanks for all the posts guys. I have been trying to find a place local that sells good sake but so far no luck. And so far I have not been able to find a true Japanese restaurant but you can't throw a rock in this town without hitting a Chinese restaurant. http://www.esake.com/Store/us-lineup.html (good site to read about different sakes) This seems like a good place to buy online (guess that is the only way I will be able to buy what I want) but how is your age verified when you make an online purchase in which alcohol is involved?

they might ask for your driver's license number, or maybe SS#. I've never bought alcohol online, so I'm not sure.
