'Feeding' across the border? Split North America? I guess no more cheap/borderline free electricity for the United States. 6.6% of the United States' energy consumption is from Canadian Oil & Gas imports.

6.6% is nothing to scoff at when you consider what that 6.6% represents on such a grand scale; that's like completely knocking out the power to three states and a third of the power to a fourth.

On a related note, I wonder how the Trans-Texas Corridor is coming along.
