Well the local college opens back up Thursday and it seems everyone will be putting in a little overtime. Classes are being extended and basically will have lost all holiday time. The fall semester will now end on 12/20/05 and our finals will be held on the weekend. Now my mourning class starts at 7:30 AM now and right now my days and nights are so screwed up I doubt I will get any sleep. It sounds like I might be pulling an all nighter here.

I'm lucky, I have went through a few 300 level classes without having to write any kind of reports. This semester I got lucky, most of my homework is actually just studying.

School blows, I hate it. It's a huge conspiracy with business owners and the government. The government probably gives business owners some sort of deal if they require degrees, while the government gets all the **** money we shell out to get the degree. Really, what it all boils down to, you can either shell out thousands of dollars for college to get a mediocre job, or you can go be a UAW worker and make twice as much a year turning a bolt on the assembly line.

Well, seriously, think about it. You can go be a bolt turner on the assembly line and make 30/hr. That's 3 times as much as I make right now, and they work full time, probably get overtime, benefits, etc. Seems like a damned good deal if you ask me.

ITT makes a lot though. As long as I get into security, I can start out around 50k, and theres room to get up to at least 90k... And thats enough for at least a vette a year

hahaha.. no, Internet Security will never go away... IT in general will never go away, a main reason I chose this career field. The second being you make mad cash... hopefully enough to get my Lingenfelter someday

But there aren't job's like that everywhere, only in limited areas. Plus if you get laid off how do you get a new job with your skills(or lack there of).
For example my wife is in her senior year finishing up her accounting degree. If a company she works for lays her off she can get another well paying job with no problem. Same with me when I get my engineering degree.

And that's not even going into spending 40 plus hours a week turning the same bolt over and over. I think I'd shoot myself if I didn't have to use my brain.
