Serious Accident Dundas and Scarlett Today
Hey all , some of you know me alot of you dont.
Today around 4pm i was washing my car at the coinwash! All of a sudden i hear a crash whip around to see debris flying everywhere. I think oh man and forgot about it instantaiously. Then i ran over to see what went on. The first thing i saw was a man lying mangled on the side of the road. People were just looking at him lying there. I ran over, his leg was off to the side broken in two places with the bones protruding and alot of blood. Yellow vomit all around his face, eyes bulging and blood comming out of the head. I took charge and began to check him out ABC;s He was breathing very shallow, but had not pluse, i checked to see if he was breathing again and he coughed on my cheek. Then no breath no pulse. But i didnt have a mask so i couldnt do CPR, so he breathes again and i figure, fine hes breathing so he must have a pulse, and move on to the rest of the body (i was doing this by myself) i asked people to get me a belt of something to stop the bleeding and was asking people for blankets to cover the guy who was unconcious and probably in shock. Anyways paramedics came (the guy was dead when i was with him) and did their thing. What happened was this guy apparently in a mazda three came in really fast hit a car totalled the back of this car, then hit the guy and threw him into the air through a fence, and continued on until he crashed into a pole.
How here is the thing, i did what i could for the guy and noone can blame me for that. Who i can blame is the guy who was speeding in the first place. Now i dont know i hope that this was a real accident and maybe the guy had a heart attack at the wheel, or blacked out, or something.
But if the guy was speeding or was driving drunk or whatever, or if he stole that car YOU. Ive spent the night trying to get these images out of my head, the blood off my hands and overall trying to figure out if i should have done CPR on the guy regardless of his vomit (the paramedics said he was dead and definitely isnt gonna make it. He was dead when i got to him and the breathing that he was doing the body does when it dies, but they told everyone else hed probably make it)
The lesson for all of us here is that speeding, and i dont even mean light to light, SPEEDING is a deadly thing. Under our meets and things i have ZERO problem with it, but we exercise caution. Please excersise caution when driving - concentrate on what your doing, and please dont do things that endanger others. I feel like , its been a rough night, and im not looking forward to the nightmares of tonight.

Lets face it, noone helps anyone any more. Unless you go to Test and Tunes. But on the street, forget it. The first thing they tell a woman if she's being attacked is don't yell "Help" or "Rape". Yell " Fire". No one will come for help, but they'll come running for fire.

But if you yell "RAPE!", people don't want to get involved, and unlike a fire inwhich you will wait for the professionals to come, if you are there watching a woman get raped, are you just going to stand there and watch? ofc not. You will intervine, and that becomes a threat to your own safety, so that's why people won't respond to "rape". It's self preservation.

man, thanks a lot for sharing this. Yea, it does shake you up, but that's neccessary every now and then to come to terms with reality.
It's hard enough to barely think straight and compose yourself in a situation like this, let alone try to help the victim. I don't understand though, did the paramedics indicate to other people that the guy might have been saved if he received mout-to-mouth?
