Ok make that twice in 4.5 years. I just got back from the doctor and I'm not allowed to go in tonight.
So calling in an average of once every 2.25 years really isn't that bad right? Both times it's been because a doctor told me I'm not allowed to go in to. So I just bring the doctor's note in and there's nothing they can say.

If the doc says you can't, you can't. You have a good attendance record, they shouldn't be that upset. I've only called of like 3 in the 5 years I've worked at Wal-Mart while so many other people call off all the time.. and do you think they reward me for it? Hell no. They give the people that do nothing and call off all the praise and employee of the month and all that nonsense...

I agree I have other people that call in sick all the time and I have to cover for their shifts. Have I ever gotten anything in return? Of course not, I should get some extra vacation days or something in return.
