Some people just don't get it....
On another messageboard I frequent, one user made a post how he was driving slower than the marked speed limit (80) on a single-lane highway, and some guy got up close behind him. So the clown goes ever SLOWER, to 50! So when the guy behind him finally had enough, he tried passed this douche in the oncoming lane... aforementioned douche then SPEEDS UP to keep the guy from passing him. THEN he gloats about it on a car enthusiast messageboard!
And the worst part is that some of them actually are condoning his actions! This forum is based out of my old town, Winnipeg. They're behind the times by decades, not just a couple years. I live in Calgary, and everything here is the here and now, not 1986.
I don't have road rage, but I do get irritated when people don't know how to drive. Some people have the belief that if you're doing the speed limit, you can stay in the left hand lane. Wrong. Slower traffic keep right, so if I'm speeding, the lane hand lane is mine, the right hand lane is yours, move over please.
Anyone have any freeway frustrations to share?

omg yea.haha, in my area, its FILLED with so many people. we have a lots of crap around here in the northwest suburbs of chicago and its ridiculous. if im in a hurry somwhere i have to drive like a complete *** to get there a little quicker. nobody moves over on the expressway, you have to weave in and out.lol. when you go a little north and into wisconsin, its better, people follow the rules/courtesies a little more but yea i cant take retards like that.

if you tailgate me I slow down to the minumum speed, and maybe lock up my brakes. Speeding up when they go to pass is stupid and a great way to kill someone (tailgating is a great way to get someone else a new car)

Spiking your brakes is just as dangerous, and if it can be proved that its what caused the accident you will be held liable. Not saying that tailgating is any better, but intentionally causing an accident is never good.
I'm no saint, I have done all the above in previous occasions on the road. I guess I just realized its not worth getting all worked up over. Its pointless. I've actually found that if you don't get mad when someone behind you is all worked up, it makes them even madder, which in the end is even funnier.
If you do lock up the brakes, make sure you have a good 'reason' (i.e. you saw a dog runnin towards the road, or a raccon). Just spikin the brakes on the middle of the highway there isn't obviously a reason for that.

IM glad even in Canada people like you know to move over. When I moved to MN, people have like retardation to the max here... I was taught in drivers ed even that the left lane is for faster moving traffic, the right lane is for slow jackasses.
If someone tailgates me, and Im doing the limit, Ill usually speed up a little. If they get way close up on my ***, then I slow down. If I cant see their headlights, that pisses me way off, and they should deserve to blow their tires out.
I have road rage, or moreso, I cant handle retards on the road. MN is full of them. I see some new dumbass thing every day, somthing that you will be like: What the **** is this guy doing???, and then never see anyone do that again in your life most likely.
ps: Matt, Shitcago is the worst city to drive in, ever I think. I ******* hate that place. Worse than here.

How many of you have driven in Manhatten? If you haven't driven there then I'm sure you haven't experienced true city driving...you will literally be hit from behind by taxi's at redlights if you aren't moving the EXACT second it turns green...getting tailgated and cut-off is just a way of life there, as are swinging across 4 lanes of traffic to get to your turn.
Its so bad that its fun..just don't go there with your baby. Most cities you see the taxi cabs with the grill guards, thats not uncommon. In NYC, they have 'grill guards' in the rear of the car as well- its out of hand...

Sometimes you have to get up close to someone's bumper to pass them (eg: heavy traffic, and the only way you can fit in the next lane to pass is to make it tight).
I am the guy who will usually do 20-30 over the speed limit. I have my detector and my laser jammer ready for anything. If I'm coming up behind you in the left hand lane and you're going slower than me, I expect you to move over. If I'm coming up behind you in the right lane, I will change lanes and pass you. Simple.

Sometimes Ill take it to the next level.. I was on my way home a few weeks ago, and this guy was just sitting in the left, for no reason, going slow. And that pisses me off, I swear theres only like 15 people in the US that actually know the left lane is the fast lane... So I got kinda close, then punched it and went right back in the left as I gave him an angry face... then I see him merge over to the right lane. Lesson learned.

Where I live now, Alberta, they're legal, as are laser jammers. And how are you going to 'defeat' a radar detector? Especially when all the cops out here use laser and I have a jammer? Trust me, my radar detector says "LASER", my car is invisible until he shoots again, by which time I've slowed down and turned off the jammer so he can read my (now legal) speed again.
