Honda is no Ferrari but
It beats the snot out of any cavalier piece of crap. The suspension on your car was developed and tuned in 1973, wow that cutting edge , and on to
the brakes drum in the rear on all models, no rear disc option, that's great.
The power plant options, hmmmm 2.4 quad 4 that makes 155hp exciting. A honda is the lightest most nimble and upgradable car in our budget, you can either ignore that fact and get smoked all the time, or can embace it and win some races and enjoy drivng your car from time to time. Sure our rear fenders fall apart but that doesn't scare me, crx is just an acronym for
cheese and rust extreme
thanks for listening jdm 101

Perhaps you should educate yourself before you go off trying to insult people. The oldest Honda Civic I know about that had rear disc brakes is the CRX Si. That was back in the late 80's early 90's. That still doesn't make your Cavalier any better... GM NEVER put rear disc brakes on it.
You've obviously never been under your car or else you'd know how much of a ****ing joke your car actually is. Such a piece of ... wow. My car (Festiva) is a piece of too, but its a ****in $8,000 car brand new. Your car was at least $20,000 new and it still uses the same running gear as the early 80's model. Junk junk junk.

what's the ****in point about fighting who's car is better over the internet when you probaly don't even know the person. so what if they drive a caviler that has a funky paint job and a body kit that stands out. maybe thats how they like it , and thats their style.

Off the top of my head...
-solid rear axle
-rear drum brakes
-single a-arm front suspension
-inefficient OHV engine
-pathetic interior apearance
-pathetic seat comfort
-tiny trunk opening that limits what can be put in it
-air bag deployment that cracks the windshield
-cd player that skips at harsh bumps
-head gasket that is almost gauranteed to blow at 140 000km
-valve cover seals prone to leaking
-wheel bearings known to fail prematurely
-ect. ect. ect.
Many design faults.
For the cavalier/sunfire platform of course...

Guess what ******, I do know everthing about everything. I've worked on a hell of a lot more cars then you, and I've done a hell of a lot more custom work then you'll ever do in your entire life. The difference is that I know my car is a shitbox, whereas you are oblivious to the fact that yours is also. It's pathetic. You're obviously content driving that scrap pile Cavalier because you think its a good car. I know my Festiva is a POS, so I'm obviously going to get something a lot better once the time comes. Until then, I'll continue beating up on try-hards and posers who think their cars are fast with it... like most of your J-body buddies.
SO ARE YOU GOING TO RACE MY 135HP 22 YEAR OLD TIME BOMB RX7 OR ARE YOU GOING TO BE A AND IGNORE THE CHALLENGE LIKE YOU DID IN THE OTHER THREAD?

Keyboard racers talk a lot of , have never actually been racing at a track to have documented proof of how fast their car is, never back up their mouths, and are just basically cowards when it comes time to back up their talk in person. Now, out of everyone here, who do you think best fits that description?

no matter how bad you say cavalier is , its better then festiva. besides stock its faster then civic. so thats something to think about.

^ ok so all the more props to him for makin his festiva fast, by dooing it himself im sure he learned a load about workin on cars, more than can be said for all these bench racers who judge a race's outcome based solely on specs.
