Stop immigration?
I wouldent say stop it to people who have something to contribute to north america but i say we stop immigration for 5-10 years and see what happens. canadas unemployment rate is 7% WE DONT NEED ANY MORE MINDLESS DUMMIES IN THE WORK PLACE.

legal or illegal? Name a single valued point of adding more foreigners to
our country in the 21st century. Give one single merit on how our nation
will survive multiple languages? How will we survive violent religions?
Since we have 10 million illegal alien Mexicans today, how will we survive
the next 10 million or even 20 million? Have you seen any good to the
growing gridlock, educational crisis, hospital crisis, disease crisis,
crime, acid rain, air pollution or loss of quality of life in America? Do we
want to add another 100, 200, 300 million people to our country?

Will more immigrants working at minimum wage be able to pay off our $7.9
trillion debt? Will more insourced immigrants pay off our pending Social
Security crisis? Will more immigrants solve California's $38 billion debt?
Will more immigrants with hundreds of languages help our nation remain
cohesive? Will more of our working poor be able to survive millions of more
immigrants? Will importing millions from those countries sending us
immigrants stop their adding 85 million more annually? Give one single good
reason for more immigration! Can't?

What do you do to stop the sinking of the Titanic? Stop the water from
pouring in! What do you do to keep a failing hot air balloon aloft? Patch
the hole! What do you do to avoid a head-on accident? Turn sharply in
another direction! How do you stop from catching tuberculosis? Keep people
with tuberculosis out of your house and schools!

Let's shut down America's borders. Let's stop all immigration. Let's give
ourselves a break. Let's take a moratorium. Our citizens deserve it. There
is no immigration allowed in China, India, Bangladesh, Russia, Japan, Cuba,
Saudi Arabia, Iran, Syria, Turkey and MOST other countries. Are they
suffering race riots, car burnings, language crisis and other problems from

First off you cant legally immigrate to canada without going through the whole points bullshit, You must have a GREAT education that is in need, great english or you must be filthy rich, either way its a boost to the economy.
My family immigrated from russia with two PHD engineering degrees from my mother and father, our family friends are all dentists, doctors, engineers, or other high end profession. The only legal immigrants you see here were somebody's back in their countries, you cant come over here if you were a nobody (or a "dummy" like you said)
The reason unemployment is so high is not because of immigration, it is in part because of refugees(prolly around 1%) and the rest is just because people here are too ing lazy and everybody smokes too much ing weed to become productive, also remember that out of those 7% at least 5% of the population is getting income from illigal sources(drug trafficing, working for cash etc. ) so its not as bad as it seems, ive been here 8 years now(citizen for 4), and never had a problem getting a job, if those 7% really want to work then they should of studied in a profession that is in demand.
Also read the papers the teech boom is coming back, IT job openings are at the highest since 2001 and growing, and the canadian dollar is on the rise, so dont blame the immigrants, its just another cycle in the economy. The programmers that probabley account for a very large sum of the unemployment need to forget about that profession, most of the programs were written and are stored in databases around the world, only a few needed to put those little programs together to form the system needed.
The matter of fact is that the manufacturing is moving away to India and pakistan, the only job that will remain in North america will be the higher end types of jobs, such as Marketing, Business Managment, supervisory, we are becoming a nervous center system of sorts for the global market, with 50% of the capital in the USA you really dont have much to worry about except to get a decent education in a higher end workforce.

Like I said before , If Einstein wouldn't have emigrated to the US , we'd all be speaking German ...

The trouth is that , there's a lot less of us eastern euros here , to make a difference politically and to allow our own imigrating easily . However Indians and Pakistani's all they have to do is cough up a few tenths of thousands and they can bring their non english illiterate 20 member families to canada no problem . I heard that with 35 K in India , you get some guy come to your house , and live with you for a while teaching you how to behave when comming to canada ( apparently they leave out the part that to others curry smells like and it's unpolite to cook it daily for your 18 kids and asphixiate your neighbours ) . Then included in that price they set up the papers and get you going .
Midless dummys ... WHO delivers your pizza ... WHO puts your hamburger together ... WHO washes your car ... WHO pumps gas for you ? ... who drives you arround the city and cuts you off without signaling ?

Then they made us take the most comprehensive medical tests in the world , because in canada we play it safe eh ... That's why in Toronto we had the worst SARS infestation in the modern world .

i'm not racist
What I say about asian imigrants ... it's really only about asian imigrants . . .
Because japanese people hardly ever need to emigrate and they are a very smart nation .
Same with well educated Chinese and Indians ... they don't need to imigrate , their lives are just dandy over there . HOWEVER , those who can't hack it there , the low class uneducated ones ... try to emigrate all over the place and make burgers and sell cigarettes .

all i'm saying is , look where the great minds come from .
all i'm saying is we have europe and europeans to thank for modern society and technology ... and NOBODY ELSE ( allthogh Japan caught up and nowdays is taking the lead )
so stoping imigration , like i said ... would criple this continent intellectually . We'd have a lot of unions for garbage cleaning and tow trucks , but it's not enough that we get the latest technology 2 - 3 years later than europe and asia , we'll then get it 10 - 20 years later
( of course that doesn't include Marijuana strains and genetically modified food to increase profits ... we'll allwais be first at that )

Mindless dummies , ever get lost in toronto . Dont bother pulling in to a gas station / conveneance ( sp) store to ask for directions . Cause Janjaresh Goatmandu , or Hop lookylikeaman chowluk cant understand plain english. Cant read a map . Have no idea where they are . All they know is I getty on de bus , I tranzferrr. um just wanna point out that some of the "immigrants" are doctors, lawyers, engineers, but do to retrictions of some canadian law or something (doctors especially), they are forced into another line of work (taxi driver, convieniene store etc.)
there was an article on this in the 24hrs once, this thread reminded me of it ...

they should stop letting so many gindy's into canada and thats the bottom line.
2004 there was around 250,000 migrants into canada
about 34% were from india then
pakistan
srilanka
china
after that the numbers were in the hundreds and low thousands for other countries. whats the deal with that.
anytime i come back from a flight into pearson airport all of the canada customs agents are ali or javinter
give me a break. blame the liberals, whats the plan make a minority into a majority, it seems like it already in toronto and any other major city in canada.

I think zapa said it best!... I agree 100% and yes there are a ton of mindless dummies out there. Buger joints are jobs for teenagers not 35 year old somalian or pakistani men. Give me a break. You can barley pull out to a tim hortons drive through in the GTA without hearing a east indian who can barely speak english on the other end. Its been proven that within 10 years immigration europeans almost 99% of the time adapt to our way of life. They are usually skilled people in the trades ,etc. If it wasent for europeans there would be nothing here. Italians , portugese , germans etc brought all of the skills here with many other euro cultures that I work with I have probibly left out.
A: what does someone from ethiopia have to offer to canada? because we let them in by the thousands every year. don't stop immigration, just regulate it better.we essentially are a tribe here, (if you view the world as a global village like I do), and I want as many people in my tribe that can contribute and make us the best possible canada we can be. hard workers, innovators, leaders all great charachteristics we would want here to improve Canada for ALL of us.
I work with a variety of people, and everyone is an immigrant. I myself am only 1st generation canadian, and all my family immigrated From England. My Grandfather worked as an engineer for Phillips until he retired at 65, you can thank him for being one of the minds behind the modern day CD rom.
My father moved from a farm on dover to toronto, to open a printing business, and employ over 50 canadians his first year in the country. My parents both run a successful Antiques business, pay lots of taxes and live a good decent clean life. I am very proud of them for this. not everyone who moves to a country like Canada, does so much for themselves, and in turn the country.
the mistake is when we let people in, and provide FOR them, instead of them just being happy with the amazing opportunity we provide for them by allowing citizenship. I see people come over in droves, welfare fraud, EI fraud, and even folks coming over, getting jobs found by the gov't for them, gov't subsidized housing, and even getting vehicles.
I, a Canadain Born citizen went broke waiting for EI to kick in when I lost my job, which in turn added to my already bad credit, (given if I saved loot for a rainy day, I'd not be in that predicament in the first place, lesson learned), and gave me no chance of getting a car, or a home loan etc.
only to see someone who can't even speak english get a fuggin free ride on my tax dollar. I had to wait almost 2 months for my EI. yet the gov't is very quick to just take it off my chq. hell by the end they said they'd given me too much and clawed back MY OWN MONEY from my tax return.
How the hell can they treat their own citizensthis way, while making the country a fuggin hotel for someone who can't take the time to learn the damn language?
get the canadian citizens living on the streets into jobs and houses. take care of our own first, then if we have cleared that up, then let some more ppl in. Canadians need the help. they need the support, and to give that much needed help to an undeserving person who will do more than be a drain on the tribes resources, is a slap in the face to your own son's and daughters. The people of Canada deserve better than to have the gov't bring ppl in to secure votes. (i believe this is the root)

The biggest problem is that people from central asia (pakistan, india, all the arab middle eastern countries) have a problem assimilating, and the problem is that they just dont want to assimilate.
Eastern Europeans and anyone coming from a non-third world country come here knowing fully well that they are gonna have responsibilities and obligations (to pay taxes and work hard at educating their children, to name a couple)
But these ing refugees just come here expecting things to be handed to them. Of course there are good, honest, hard-working people, coming here as refugees as well, but these are rare cases, the majority is a bunch of leeches sucking the life out of this country.
I just think that the gov. should stop acting so righteous and stop letting refugees in for a while, and see if just maybe we can lower gun related crimes and gang activities a little bit.
And also have stricter immigration laws for anyone who wants to come legally from these third-world countries.
