Street Racing

Doing a project for a class and just need some statistics generated by you guys if you don't mind. Feel free to leave comments as well. Sorry if there's already been a thread on this but it's a media class so I need current results. Thanks in advance.

Btw...personally I think that having a track would give street racers somewhere to test the limits of thier cars. The mentality involved with knowing that a local place like this exists with no consequences (minus the risk of life) may discourage racers to use the roads.

yes it definatly would but it wont happen ebcause of zoning and other political bullshit. they could build something near the airport but they wont, and the same crap will happen that happened at tmp with the pacer free track day thing. people will go there to race, the cops will hand out tickets as they leave.

I think there should be a lot more drag tracks as far as I know there's only the one in Cayuga which me and my friend got lost for a hour and a half trying to find it then we found out it was closed.

i think it is a great idea. only problem is that the government would loose out on all the high fines that they give out for the street racing tickets so would never want to see this put in place...

yes it would especially if its free and it is close to where people live (no more than 30 mins away) because it takes time to organize 20 people to take there cars to the track and it would cost about 50-100 dollars per car to go... people do not want to wait that long to race... so if you build a track for free, people can really settle there disputes safely... i would go everyday.. seriously!
