they are going way over board punish the racers thats if u catch them but dont punish the whole race of people with modefied cars.for god sakes pit bulls are doing way more harm then people with modefied cars and all they did was tell the owner to put a mussle on it.I dont write much even with my other user name but when i see bullshit like this where i feel like im living in a country like cuba where the people are not in controll but the government controlls everything,this is bullshit at its most.

You really can't. I also heard You can get pulled over and ticketed for blue head light bulbs. I think of it this way if its illegal then way sell it...... But then again thats the only way the goverment can get its money.... since pigs get paid so much to sit at timmy's eatting dounts and drinking coffee.

My Buddy almost got a $110.00 fine for the light up blue plate cover. which he bought at crappy for $60.00 i think.

Like those nipple lights on your windshild wiper stuff, you can get a ticket for those as well... crappy tire doesnt care if you get the tickect... they will sell you anything.

Yes you can get tickets for some really stupid . But it rarely happens. Just because something is illegal doesn't mean its going to be enforced.

But if you go cruisin in a hot area for racing or meets, then chances are the cops in that area are looking out for cars with mods. So if you get pulled over in one of those places (IE woodbridge) Then chances are they will ticket you for whatever they can. Normally they couldn't give two *****.

i just moved out of the woodbridge area, and honestly, they have gotten a lot better. Organized races stopped, and people sort of calmed down there a little. It became bad when fast and the furious came out, thats when the races started badly. But now police have it monitored very well. My brother patrols woodbridge a lot. He works for york regional police, and they have it monitored pretty well. But they dont bother everyone. If they see you hit it and kick that vtech in, they might pull you over. Other then that, they wont bother you. It has really gotten better, but none the less, some of nicest cars are in woodbridge.

jtr i just want to comment on you line about fast and furious well ever since that stupid movie came out and im sure alot of the older members on this site will agree with me ,we had the best runs and everything was so well organized i remember a bunch of us from this site would call eachother up meet at the right place and bam till 4something am no cops and steady runs but after that stupid :supergay: movie came out it all blew up ,kids started ing up for us and its all about brining your parents 87dodge van with the groceries in the back and ractive tip to the runs.

JTR - I respect the fact that your brother is a cop, but I disagree with your thought that they 'don't just pull over anybody'. In my first year with my G2 I was pulled over 17 times! I drove a SHITBOX 91 Civic HB that was developing the honda rust. I had a decent system but NO mods ... no exhuast, no intake, no springs... NOTHING! I was pulled over and asked stupid like 'are you old enough to be driving alone?', 'oh, I thought your tag was expired' ... and the best one yet 'are you allowed to be out this late' as I was coming back from a ING DRIVE IN!!!

I think the majority (not all, but most) of cops are corrupt. They love the fact that they have power, and as soon as something annoys them they put on their cherries.... whether its being stopped at a red light, missing an adanced green, or seeing another honda civic with a loud exhaust.

well this all seems very similar to the whole "Racial Profiling" situation a few months ago. They say the cops are pulling a lot of black guys over because they are suspect. It was proved that the cops were & are indeed doing this. What did they do about it once they had their faces rubbed in it? Absolutely ing nothing. So now the street racing/ moddified car thing. They are profiling us because we drive modified cars. They believe that we are all criminals out street racing light to light with anyone who pulls up next to us. They believe that we are all dangerous drivers "With a Loaded gun, and a Licence to Kill". They are going to do everything in their powers to make us regret getting pulled over even if that means making up tickets for bullshit. Anyone who has got pulled over knows what I'm talking about.

Now, the bottom line: what can we do?
- sell our cars? - hells no
- Write a letter to the Gov't? - like that will do anything
- Don't mod our cars, or buy a factory modified car so you are immune to the modified car act? - Don't knwo about you guys, but I'm not rich so i cant afford a factory sports car
