Here's what it's come to .

If your a car enthusist and you have an accident it's because you were racing.

If you have a fixed up car you need to have it taken away and crushed because you are a street racer.

If you go to the track you will be stopped outside the property by the cops.

If they find mods are they going to crush your car???

So what are we left with???

Modify the cars more and run from the cops to protect our investments???

It's Illegal to be a car Enthusist.

or you can get a dolly and tow ur car to the track, people really interested in racing and tuning, can still do it 100% legally if they choose to.

Its all up to the owner of the vehicle, if you choose to build a car that isnt street legal and then you drive on the street then what do u expect... cops to flex the laws...nah we all know 99% of cops are tight pigs looking to ticket anything they can to meet their quota.

if you run from the cops and get caught or crash, not only is your car going to get crushed but your freedom will be taken from you and depending on if you crashed while running from the popo you could be gone for a long time... and if you feel that you car is worth risking jail/killing someone or yourself, the you seriously need to reconsider your priorities cause as much as you love your car and as much work you have put into it still does not chance the face that it is just an object, not a life.

Actually they are not. Unassumed means no maintenance AND traffic enforcement. Ever see a speed limit posted on an unassumed road? No. Ever see a cop doing radar on an unassumed road? No. Ever see any public government agency on an unassumed road? No.

low low: looks like $45,000 worth of LL.B doesnt buy much these days, does it?
$45,000 worth of LL.B. got me more of a life than your sorry pathetic ***. Give my regards to your ****ed up ugly girlfriends missing parts of their ears and legs. AHAHAHA. I have a house, a car, a job and a bunch of you'll never be able to afford. I bet you're LOVING getting ripped in that civil suit "the plaintiff, hereandafter known as "the dumbshit" blantantly raced in the middle of rush hour and injured two innocent people all because his ***** is so tiny that he had to prove what a big engine he had to make up for his lack of self-esteem and to stroke his little ego." Here's you after the lawsuit ****** .

You're such a dumbshit I don't know why you even both posting on this website. You don't own a car, you're not insured and every thing comes out of your mouth is verbal diahrrea. Even if you did own a car you'd probably write it off within 30 seconds of getting in it because your driving is so bad.

No one gives a about your experience or has any sympathy for your sob story traffic accident. You're a 20 year old h.s. drop-out with more legal fee's than you can afford and no money to pay them. Boohoo I'm getting insulted by someone so ****ED that their insurance is 5 figures, they can't drive ANYWHERE and that's not even the best part.....

If you think your life is now just wait until the judgment, you're *** is going to be so ripe you'd think it was a tomato. Get out the 5w30 because you'll be taking it up the as for the next 20 yrs. Go get a job at McDonalds boy.

You're life is so pathetic you don't even know it. You're in loser denial, so you vent your little masturbating frustrations out on people with common sense. If I were you I'd consider ending my life. You're conviction and lawsuit is the defining moment in your life and it'll follow you everywhere. You can't even get into the US because you're such a dumb****.

It's probably been said millions of times before on the internet. But seriously. Go kill yourself. Take a head dive off a bridge.

haha now ur just angry and acting like a 10yr old...its ok, if typing on ur keyboard to some "dipshit kid" makes you feel better go ahead. its just hard to believe that a 20yr old can be more mature then a 28yr old with "$45,000 of law school". I wasnt askin for sympathy, i was just trying to educate street racers about the consequences. and if 1 person read this and the next time a car lines up next to him and tries to race and he reconsiders after what he has heard from my story then mabye this thread has served a better purpose then an outlet for your frustration with life. as for my civil suit...yeah ur probably rite i guess we'll just wait and see...till then i dont stress bout it.

P.S. im on my last semester of 3yr my mechanical engineering coop program and am also an AutoCAD technitian for a television network that pays real nice. im not your average McDonalds burger flipping 20yr old... just FYI, believe it or not its up to you. as for my projects or cars i drive, if you want pics or details just ask. not that i have anything to proove, especially to someone like yourself, im just bored workin on a comp all day and dont mind typing

have a nice day

Wrong. Police patrol unassumed roads on a regular basis, and can and do lay HTA charges on them They can also lay Criminal Code driving charges on them as well.

Whether speed limit signs are posted or not is irrelevant. The default speed limit in absence of signs is 50 kmph in urban areas, 80 kmph in rural.

For example, Bristol Road between Mavis and Terry Fox was "unassumed" but open for public traffic for over a year before Mississauga formally assumed responsibility for it. It didn't stop Peel Region Police from enforcing the urban 50 kmph speed limit there, and handing out fail to stop tickets for people running the stop signs between it and the also unassumed side streets running off it, etc.

Unassumed roads that have been opened to public use, even though not yet formally assumed by the local municiplaity, are considered common thoroughfares and fall under the HTA definition of a highway.

“highway” includes a common and public highway, street, avenue, parkway, driveway, square, place, bridge, viaduct or trestle, any part of which is intended for or used by the general public for the passage of vehicles and includes the area between the lateral property lines thereof; (“voie publique”)
I think you may have got cheated on your $45G spent. Or you dropped out.

gldwngr - From reading your posts I can tell you're very anti-street racing. How ironic that here you are on torontostreetracing.com. The domain name may have changed but that's just semantics this was, is and always will be a street racing website. If you don't like street racing then you should probably **** off and go somewhere else. We are all street racers and you're a sheep in a wolves den.

Zoomin' - You don't even own a car. This site is for people who can actually drive. Go play with your hot wheels.

A lot has changed since the site was re-branded, including the type of users and traffic coming in.
I mean, even when it was TorontoStreetRacing, how many people actually raced? There were your core guys that raced, and your core guys that showed up to film / take pics, and then everyone else that watched and stood on the road like pylons. Then the site blew up and had 4000+ people, I’m sure its safe to say not everyone was a street racer when we had 4K users.

I think its cool to have gldwngr here, sharing his thoughts. Nothing wrong with that. I mean, there’s a reason the original owner sold the site, streetracing doesn’t pay and being affiliated with it causes headaches.

I would say there are plenty of people that are not familiar with TSR and are here because its GTcars.
There are a ton of TSR spin-offs as well, we still have the domains. So if someone wants to buy em, let me know. If someone wants to restart TSR as a new site, let me know.

B6T: yep, correct, i go to centennial, markham/progress. in the 3yr coop program. yeah its college but 1. no way in hell i could afford university 2. i like the fact that its more "hands on" rather then sitting in a lecture hall, we actually get to do stress analysis on structurs, design , CAD it, then make in in the machine shop. 3. i ****ed around way to much in highschool to have the marks to get into university...highschool was a ****in joke, it was more of a chill spot for me rather then an educational institution. Im also thinking of taking the tool and die program after wards but really i just want to get out of school and start making loot.

i noticed you posted that the stang needs a 2.3T under its hood in the "teg spanked a 5.0L" thread. you into those engines cuz thats exactly what i got in the garage, if so PM me cuz i need a line on a person who knows how to port our heads nice. and mabye a nice machine shop, but im pretty sure im gonna go to nash to get my done (other then the porting).

gldwngr: are you on GTAM as well?

low-low: im done talking to you, ur acting like a child and the conversation is going nowhere. i cant imagine how you act in court when things arent going your way...do u start acting all tough and tell the judge how much better your life is then his? post a reply to me, talk some more , i dont care, when it comes down to it ur a keyboard tough guy that has issues, and im not wasting my time on you anymore.

Victor, you don't own a car. This site is for people who own cars, hence car enthusiasts.

I'm a keyboard tough guy? Come meet me in person and we'll see what's up. I'll even pay for your bus fare

In terms of issues I'd take a look at your legal liability before you start running your mouth on who has issues. You should be in jail right now and your parents will be paying your $100,000 judgment.

All this beef can be solved with you just uttering these words: "My name is Victor and I'm a dumbshit because I nearly killed 2 people, possibly more because I raced in the middle of traffic trying to show off."

Say that and I won't absolutely RIP your stupidity everytime you post here.

i didnt race in the middle of traffic, when i got on the highway was EMPTY (as in no traffic), when i saw TRAFFIC (i slowed to 120, which was the flow), if i was ***** out racing i would have been infront of the bimmer right behind my friend with the 99 cobra (who wasnt involved in the collision) and all would be good (on my end), so now what u saying i should have been racing? This has also been previously stated.

as for ripping on me in a public forum, think i give a ****?

How do you like centenial? What CAD software do you work with?

You are in the 3yr co-op program, but what year are you in for that? 3?

I am doing a similar program, but different school, semester 6 of 6.
