if youre talking about me, im running in an mx6. since i am considering competing this year in the CSCS super street class, why dont you bring one your fairy tale 8 second TD's and compete directly with me? is that even possible? having to race on equal terms in a "street class" may not be easy for the usual junkyard 1000lb td
however, if i decide to sit out this year, then anything goes.

My buddy was trying to make people understand that TD are capable of making some serious jam...more so....serious tourque! Plenty of local TD have gone really fast, but that was before many people on this board startred racing on the street...lots of those cars are gone or sitting in someones garage...I remember back in the days when we used to race at Coca Cola...there were plenty of TD that used to come out and clean some nights.

Im not a TD die hard or even a fan, but I respect those cars. yeah some of them do run like crap, and whatnot, but the people that do what we do and care for thier cars usually have thier cars in tune....if not sucks to be them.

Best way to solve the drama is to do it up and see who wins...the TD crowd, or the TM crowd...personally I could care less who wins, cause im all about the Subaru Crowd and none of you want any of this Scooby

Hey meatball...It's me...... I don't think the guy read properly.... I was talking about the joker with the N/A MX3 that was gonna embarass the TD's.....I remember mentioning that there are alot of fast Mazdas, and anly that if he wasn't gonna show respect than I was giving him PERSONALLY no respect and called HIS MX3 a joke.....I was reffering to no one else, and I thought that was obvious. I give respect to anything that will run hard, whether it's a Honda, Mazda, or a Geo metro....in fact, I'm more impressed by a Geo that runs 12's than a big block that runs 11's..... I give respect to all who run their car without excuses...period.
If you can give the other guy the same thumbs up and smile whether you win or get train lengthed, then you get my respect...whether it's a 10 second car or 17 seconds. I just don't like it when people start their stupidity...I have no problem with brand loyalty or a guy with a Chevy who has a sticker of Calvin pissing on a Ford....it's all in loyalty and fun....but when your just trying to be a disturber.....well, you know your a jerk-off...I don't need to tell you.

I'm sure your MX6 is quick, and I have no problem showing it any respect, I wasn't talking about you at all...I was throwing back the same disrespect that Mr. N/A MX3 was showing. If he thinks he can call out TD's with something like that...he's not being realistic, not showing brand loyalty, he's just being a disturber....and I mantain my previous statement...bring your MX3.....to the man in the MX6....wow, if your car runs that fast, I wouldn't mind checking that out...I didn't say 440HP should scare Mazda owners....just owners of MX3's that don't know who they're calling out, or think that TD's fall apart and can't run.....I'll tell you right now, my Shadow is 10 times more reliable than my Supra, that thing blew head gaskets coming out of the driveway, and I've never had a problem with the Shadow period.....and I ran it at the track all day long last summer, pass after pass after pass after pass, with me driving, my buddy driving, over and over and over...then I drove it the hour+ back home, and it didn't even need an oil change when I got home.

My buddy, FASTWrx, can tell you right now (he just walked into my kitchen), that when it comes to showing respect and never judging a car until the rubber's done burning, I always expect the man next to me to be faster....I like it that way...I don't mind losing...just let's me know that I need more power for next time....

(FastWrx speaking)...I guess I can say that before I met CapTurbo I didnt have that much respect for TD's let alone shadows, but after learing something about them, and seeing first hand how they react to substantial mods...I have to give respect...simply because the car(s) move. CapTurbo doesnt go around insulting other cars, or drivers...doesnt even race that much for that matter....all hes trying to point out is that you cant leave TD's out of the picture and forget what they are capable of...Peace out...

Wow, if I bothered you that much with my statements I feel sorry for you. They were all in good fun and meant to get people like you to get off your asses and get to the races. It's not that I'm ignorant to TD's at all. I've worked on a few of them including 1Cam8Valves car. Your Shadow may be the quickest one of all time for all I know. I said in my first post of this thread "for the TD guys that know they can't hack it against the turbo mazda." It seems that the TD owners that responded knew that was all in good fun. I later said "I'll just clean up with the average TD. My car's not set up for dragging at all anyways." Yes you probably do know people who have a faster TD than my MX3. Tell them to come out. Theres a good chance your Shadow is faster than my car. Who knows. If you think I was disrespecting you or your buddies get over it. It seems like your the only one taking it that way. Don't forget the name of the forum your posting in.

I didn't read the name of the section, nor did I realize that it was the trash talk section. I saw my buddy on this thread at his house and went from there... I'm so used to people calling anything not a Honda crap, that I got carried away, I guess....the first thing I said was just to stir the pot, after that I was really just trying to stand up for domestics in general, not even so much TD, though that was the main example. The majority of "car guys" that I meet nowadays consist of slapping on bolt-ons and adding up the manufacturer HP claims for each and translating that as their new wheel HP....they have to run to the shop every time their car hiccups, cause they can't fix anything themselves, nor do they know how half of the parts they bought even work. So having said that, I guess I'm quick to jump to the defensive as I am so used to having to prove meatheads wrong, and debunking their crazy myths, that as soon as I saw trash talking about the TD's and how they can't make it to the line without breaking, etc... I thought, "here we go again, more domestics are POS cars again, and my Honda went 400, 000KMs, etc (which is why I tod my mom to buy one a few years back, because they don't break). Of course it's hard to break stuff when your HP is twice as much as your torque...but that's another debate, a 9500RPM Honda really doesn't need torque when they rev like that.

Anyway, I was on the defensive but I was not offended, I can't get offended by something someone I never met said, I just didn't know this was a section meant specifically for trash talking. What can I say, my bad

With the execption of the Korean companies, there's at least one car in every car company's fleet that I appreciate....it's just a part of being a car guy.
