V-8 to V-6

I Blew out the Water pump on my 1991 S-10 today.. I dont really know, but steam was roaring out near the water pump... and temp gauge quit working.. I have 2 Spare Like new 80's GM V-8 water Pumps.. Are they basically the same? I need to get that thing fixed without spending money.. Kinda Sucks

if you have the 4.3 it should be the same I think. If it's 2.8 your semi screwed (new is only about 30 bucks)

Exactly the same, however the Shaft is 1/2'' Shorter.. So Im going to get a new water pump.. However I did start it and something Was vibrating.. I thought maybe it was the water pump, since i rember buying it and not using it.. But its not that.. The motor did get a bit hot the other day.. I hope its nothing big..
