1/2 of the two co-hosts of the show is withdrawing because they don't get enough volunteers for the show and barely get enough $$$ to make it happen. They mostly break even, but now attendance has been dropping every year.

Amen to that one, bro. I'm working 45 hours a week, going to class full time (bare minimum for fulltime, but still... 12 credit hours), and trying to balance running MiFbody all in one. :lol: Not to mention I'm working two positions right now, Desktop Support and Service Desk Analyst. Not only supporting the customers and fixing their computers, but building new processes in our "front door" to the customers -- the helpdesk/service desk itself. :banghead: Can't wait for 2008 when the change finally happens and I only have 1 position again.

I'd say a lot of the drop of the attendance has to do with the price of gas. Its hard for the ones that live far away, costs a fortune. Plus hotel, and all that. I know I can't afford to stay at the event hotel.

Yeah hopefully they dont cancel it. Last year they just planned a ****** weekend, and they should maybe rethink 08s weekend also, it will probably drop even more. I look forward to it every year too, so hopefully they dont cancel it.

Alright guys, just an update on the Camaro Superfest situation. The other host, EMCC, is looking for any and all volunteers for the actual event. What it means is that you'd donate 4 hours of time to the show (directing traffic, directing judging lanes, checking people in, registration, etc) and the entire show would be free for you. Pretty good deal if you ask me. Anyone interested, please PM me as soon as possible.

Else, it looks like CSF08 is tenatively a "go."

what about us doing it in groups? like could project camaro as a whole do one thing together, ie. direct judging lanes or somthing? Id have more fun if I could do it with people there, but I wouldnt do it alone while everyone else gets to have fun.
