The MTO will usually use their asp and tap the cat to see if its hollow.
Really, in most cases a cat wont affect your performance to a noticeable degree.

Let this be a lesson. Do mods properly you can do illegal without them knowing for the most part. If your going to cut the cat gut it and pit a straight pipe through it then you can retian the look of a cat. Any V8 that has the cat cut off (carbed usually) you can smell from car lenghts behind. That old 70s smell of unrestricted carbons floating into the air. The smell is unmistakeable.As for gutting the cat gives no noticable HP is a total crock. Ive experianced it first hand and really woke up my engine.

id really like to know how exactly you know that "if there is, he doesnt have it"? how do you know exactly what i have done. for all you know i could have a 3rd gen with a 3800sc v6 motor...but then again, you dont even know what a 3800sc is you stupid ****in honduh *** cause it doesnt start with a b, h, or k. do i have that? no, i do not. why? cause i dont spend all my savings on my car. i have real bills, like insurance and school, but i guess a b18 pos civic is more important. i hope you preserve that civic for the rest of your life cause thats all youll ever have you nobody. im done with you. good day.
