If I'm not mistaken almost everyone that can view this forum has super mods powers correct (which I don't have)? Due to the recent talks of temporary bans it is my opinion that in the best interest of the board that the banning powers should be stripped away. Only 2 or maybe 3 (MAX) people should have the power to ban besides Chad. My vote is for arch and Grant to have these powers. Also I see no point in letting people having the power to lock/delete threads in almost every forum. Seriously Chad why did waste all that time assigning mods if you have super mods?

well i dont mean to say we should only have 2. i was just using ben and arch as examples. supermods should be people that are usually neutral in arguements so their opinions arent biased...know what i mean?

I'm a supermod because I'm working on the new Project Camaro website (well, as soon as Chad gets those DB backups )... I asked Chad if I could be one, and he thought it was a fair trade. My default usergroup is registered user, so what it really means is that the only power I have is to moderate all forums (which is what I was asking for, because I wanted to get rid of all that nonsense posting in the Name, Age, and SN thread that I accidentally entirely deleted instead of just the "Add me" and side talk posts), I can't edit any user information or ban or suspend people (atleast I'm assuming on the ban or suspend part, I tried changing my own custom title and it wouldn't work, so if I can't do that I'm pretty sure banning or suspension wouldn't work) The only thing I've done with my "powers" was delete Jimmy's personal attack, close my own spoiler thread, and post a response in the Jimmy thread since it was semi-directed at me in the first place. Aside from that, I just go about like normal.

yeah im pretty sure thats what a supermod is. you arent admin...i think thats what you believe a supermod is.

nah, there's two different ways of doing a supermod. You can belong to the supermod group, and you can also have your DEFAULT group be Supermod... having your default group be a supermod means that you have pretty much admin powers, being defaulted to registered user but belonging to the supermod group gives you forum control and that's it.

edit, and no I don't think supermods = admins, since I have VBulletin myself, I understand what supermods are...

Everyone ******* argues, its a fact of life. This site will never 100% agree with anything and there is always going to be feuds like this.

What is even the point of this thread? To say that we shouldn't have 7 people that can moderate all the forums? With the amount of traffic we have now, yeah its probably a little excessive, but no harm no foul. I'm not seeing anyone that is going crazy locking and deleting threads or banning people, so I really don't see your point.

Yes, and I unlocked it and deleted his immature remarks. Let's keep the bickering to this forum and not spill it out into the rest of the forum. Even with how angry I was with Jimmy, I still only posted my remarks in here and didn't go posting remarks about him on the board. I deleted the post and kept quiet about it (aside from this forum, which as I previously stated everyone is a mod here, so in my opinion no foul there to have the majority of the mods on the same page, otherwise there was no mentions of the post being deleted [aside from Jimmy knowing, of course]).
