Well, I did it....
....I just took the first step towards the "big plunge". I just bought my girlfriend of 6 years an engagement ring. I am kind of in shock that I did it. I saw the ring, thought it was perfect, and it was right in my price range......

Congratulations brother. Very glad to hear it. But I wouldn't be too worried...She's put up with your antics for 6 years now, like ya say, and in my book that's as close to set in stone as ya can get.

huge tip: never do it as a present. NEVER. Not to be the negative one in the bunch, but should anything go wrong if she says it was a present she can keep it, if it's an engagement ring that can't be deemed a present (anniversary present or christmas present) then if the worst happens, by law, she has to give it back. Not trying to be negative but y'know its good to be safe. Congrats tho, like Ben said it's pretty much set in stone so good luck!

yeah me 2..well maybe not that im scared,just that it doesnt fit in right now lol.. i just dont have any plans for marriage until im alot older,(like ill start thinkin about it when im 25,and than maybe do it when im like 28) cuz for now i wanna party and have fun and stuff...
But good luck 2 u, i hope that however u decide to ask her, that it works out good! oh and congratulations!
