What do you want in the next camaro?

I want a V-10 or v-12 or V-14 as options!

MeenZ28 08-17-2005 11:42 PM

I guess you want a 6 figure price tag too.

Bernotas05 08-17-2005 11:46 PM

id just like to see somethin new... no retro **** like the new mustang

Adric 08-17-2005 11:57 PM

Yeah retro is allright but I rather have something new.. Eh maby a horn that yells "**** You!!!" when you press it for people who cut you off?

archemedes 08-18-2005 12:05 AM

something new now? won't happen, for one thing that takes imagination, which seems to be rarer than an all original zl1.I'd like to see it be designed and not engineered, no 6 cylinder option (unless it's supercharged)

Your nuts... GM wont leave there v8 programs

I said no v6 offered unless supercharged (and that's the base engine) the v6 get's the same gas milage as the v8's now so the savings is gone, not to mention if gm keeps their current way the new car will be heavier than teh 4th gen, which was the heaviest camaro built

I think he was talking to MetalliCamaro about the V10-12-14 Option.
;)

The only thing I want is if the Camaro comes back, the Firebird does, too. If not, I don't care all that much. My next sports car will most likely not be a new GM vehicle.

What would i like? How about this, just the basics, no power windows, no power locks, light weight, ac/ radio delete options, rigid body, excellent cornering, strong rear end, trans, powerful V-8 that would takes mods easily.
Keep the cup holders, give me a rubber floor mat, keep the carpet, keep the cig. lighters and even keep the radio. This goes back to the days of a muscle car, like a bad *** factory nova I used to own. All engine and no extras. Keep the price teens to twentys. Keep the looks of a sports car and not a rental car. How many of you would buy an "ALL MUSCLE" car???

Doesn't matter. Bailing out on GM anyways with my next car. Ford Powa! (03 Cobra)

even in the muscle car days the stripper models were rare, but I agree few standard pieces, make them all options (if you have a dealer who knows what he's doing any car can be ordered like that though, friend of mine ordered an escalade with no interior installed since it was for a car audio demo vehicle)

They make a stipper model 4th gen, don't they, or am I mistaken?

V8 only models.

The high performance option offering only a manual transmission

Their high performance option again being produced in limited numbers

Off the record, GM needs to fire their interior stylist, and make the guy who designed the GTO interior the CEO of GM interiors.
