NEW YORK (Reuters) - Motorola Inc. (NYSE:MOT - news) on Friday announced a joint venture with eyewear maker Oakley Inc. (NYSE:OO - news) to develop new Bluetooth-enabled wearable wireless communications devices.
Motorola said it is working with Oakley to combine its Bluetooth technology, which allows devices to communicate with each other without a physical wire connection, with Oakley's eyewear concepts.
It said details and designs wll be unveiled by the middle of the year.

the great part is that bluetooth technology is the easiest hackable technology on the market right now. I could walk around with a briefcase that would sniff out bluetooth devices and then send that device a signal like it's a trusted signal that it's gotten before, then gain total access to every aspect of that device.
well, yeah, but wifi isn't as wide as blue tooth technology. I mean you can be in the middle of the store and chances are there's 20 people or so with bluetooth on their cellphone enabled.
it's a good idea, more and more of this technology integrated with everyday stuff, but blue tooth is too unsecure for this stuff. They need to develop a new technology to use, but I'm sure when the first few waves of bluetooth viruses start hitting hard, that's when it will be made clear to them. I heard there's already a few small time viruses in europe.
