What an insane night.

What an insane night.
Pardon the profanity please, my emotions are still running a little high. I also left out some stuff I'm sure, but it probably wasn't important anyways.
Here's my story:
We had a big *** shindig out at our ranch for my dad last night. Our ranch is very near to Skellytown. My mom woke all of us at about 11 this morning and said we needed to get the hell out because there was a huge *** fire coming this way. So I hauled *** into town and my dad stayed behind at the ranch. About an hour later my dad calls and the fire has hit our ranch. Burned all of the grass and trees right up to the house, then somehow split and went around it on both sides. House came away unscathed. Thank God. It somehow also happened to miss the other 6 houses we have out on that land. Meanwhile my old man is stuck out at the ranch because of these fires. Then a few more hours after that I walk out onto my front porch to see this.
Thats looking north of Pampa, towards Walnut Creek, the place I grew up and where my parents still live. Thats also, obviously REALLY ******* close to me. I decide I better load up into my car and get out. I go to start my car when I realize I am TOTALLY out of gas. My car won't even start. My mom and sister evacuate Walnut Creek to my cousins house, and I decide to walk over there. We waited out the hellfire there.
Now it's 12:45 and I'm back at my place and my parents (my dad finally made it back to town) are back at their house. The fires out at Walnut Creek burned right up to some houses and somehow just stopped. Truly a miracle. Everyone in my family is alive, well, and accounted for. I am truly a blessed person right now.
My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone that didn't come out quite as lucky as we all did.
UPDATE: On my dad's way back to town he ran into a neighbor rancher who has lost their house and there seems to be another strain of the fire headed towards the "headquarters" of our ranch. Sad

We had quite a scare this morning..The winds shifted totally the opposite direction and the fire was heading back to my family's house. They go it under control though and it didn't come back to us. There are still other fires burning around the area, but they claim to have it mostly under control. Our neighbors fence burnt down and their roof is caved in a little bit, but none of our neighbors were injured at all. I am in the process of uploading all of my dad's pics from our ranch. I'll share some of the better ones when I get more time.
