Nobody knows exactly how it started..On the news they said the main concern right now is just getting it all extinguished. I'm from a town called Pampa, TX..it's about an hour east of Amarillo. The fires have taken a couple thousand of acres already.

Yep that's what they are calling it now. At least the one near us thats what they say the source is. At least one more sparked up the same day and did some damage to the east of me.

I live in Borger which is like 18 miles from skellytown. This is what is known as of today: The fire was 45miles by 15 miles wide and burned over 700,000 acres of land! At LEAST 25 structures were burned during the fire. The fire started on the 6666 Ranch outside of borger and fast with the wind blowing over 57 mph. This fire was so bad that Hutchinson County declared a state of emergency asking the state for assistance with fuel and stuff like that.

Dayum Ben that sucks to hear about glad that everyone is ok! We been getting fires over here in DFW because of lack of rain and the heat none have goten that bad though!
