Correct me if I'm wrong, but the two years of tech college is to be a paramedic firefighter, can't you just be a firefighter with BLS or just first responder stuff?

I dont make 80,000 a year and wont unless i spent the rest of my life in the army unforunitly points are too high and i dont like the army all that much to stay in that long. Today's my last day at work, so in a month when my paycheck and severance bonus is all caught up, I won't be getting any money until I get another job.
