I'm having a hard time believe your username "An Old Guy" is accurate if you're having a heart-attack over the fact that Cadillac has an LT1 in it. That's how they came from the factory. It was the iron head LT1 (not as powerful), not the aluminum head LT1 found in the Corvette/F-Body.
People use the "Corvette LT1" description to make potential buyers think they're getting something unique, I've seen this on Impala SS listings, Caprice listings (which some actually had the 4.3L V8 L99 or 'Baby LT1'), and Cadillac listings.
Fact is, all those cars came with LT1s (or a similarly named variation). But only the F-Body/Corvette had the aluminum head LT1. The F-body had two-bolt mains, the Corvette had four-bolt.
