Wife Got a New Job!

My just accepted a new job and her first as an accountant(she graduated college last month).
We are both so stoked. She goes from making 17,000 a year less than me to 7,500 more than me now. So we'll be making an extra $24,500 a year!

So we might be moving before to long. We currently live in Kenosha and her job is in Milwaukee. Like I was telling Becky we'll start looking at houses in the Oak Creek type area. Probably a little south and west from there so we can have a nice big yard and a HUGE garage :eleph:

It's going to be so nice to get out of this condo and get a house for ourselves. We've been saving up since before we got married so hopefully when we decide we want to spend the money on a house it won't be that hard.

I won't be doing extra modifications to the car because of the extra income so don't get your hopes up for a 427 or anything. Like we've always done in the past, when we get raises the extra money just get's put into savings, investments, and such so we can retire a a decent age and have money if something were to happen.

427TT FTW!, ha jk. that great tho. moving into a house and saving is sure the smart thing to do. Good luck finding a nice house

Thanks,
I just did some research online and when she starts we'll be making more than 70% of American families and about $20,000 more a year than the average household and just a little more than the average two income family household. This is just to unreal when you sit down and work out the numbers.
Now we'll have more than enough money for me to go back to college and finish up my two degree's. Then we'll make tons of cash and I'll have my Z06!

It's just nice knowing we can really start working on our future now.

Congrats. That's good news for ya man. Hopefully when my fiance is set here in Chicago and has income coming in, we'll be in your shoes also. So this Oak Creek area closer to Chicago?

Having her live with you and help out on the bills will be huge. It makes all the difference in the world. Take it this way, with her new job she'll be making a little more than $500 a week more than she was before. When you start to break it down like that is when you realize how much this is going to help out.

Nope, further away. Oak Creek is the city the car show is in and where we ate when we checked the place out.

Oh ok. I have no clue where we were. =p Well, it looked pretty good that area. Congrats. Maybe we can have a car show in your big yard! =p

It's a nice area but I'm not willing to even look at the houses in the city part. I want a house in the country where you don't have to worry about the busy streets, cops, neighbors complaining about the noise or all the cars. Plus I can build a huge garage there.
One of my brother's lives in Paddock Lake(a small community obviously on Paddock Lake) and I love it there. He'll take his .22 out and shot small animals in the huge fields behind his house. His neighbors don't care about all the noise he makes when working on his cars or boat and he's the same way.
That's the way I want to live.

That's the plan, it's crazy when I stop to think about the amount of money we have the ability to make in the future. When we turn 30 the chance of us not making a good amount over $100,000 together a year is very small.

tell her congrats!!
It all sounds very exciting for you both!!

Yup, this is the job I was telling you about at Georgie Porgies. She doesn't start until July 10th so she can put in her full notice and help train the new HR person taking her place at Target.
So we'll be pretty good by the time the July 22nd carshow takes place.
