Thank you.

RN's can really make some great money. My mom use to be an RN before my parents decided she didn't need to work anymore and she always told me she got paid much more than she was worth.

Yea she is thinking about continuing her education after she goes to work, and becoming a nurse anethesist (if I spelled that right) and they can make close to six figures with experience. I am also thinking about getting an MBA on top of the BS in engineering so that I can do some management roles. And I think you are being very wise by investing and putting money in the bank for retirement. I plan on doing the same, buying property (limited quantity and there will be no more made), playing the stock market SOME, and investing in CDs.

True she can make some huge money at that time as you can with an MBA.

As long as you're smart property can turn a nice little profit but you have to have some nice cash ahead of time.
I personally won't touch the stock market because I like to play it safe and currently CD's are pretty pointless. You can make about the same intrest from a savings account.

A-RoN'sZ 06-22-2007 01:51 AM

Yea your right about property, and if you find someone in an area that is just beginning to grow, you can make some huge money by just buying it and holding it for a few years. When I said play the market, I meant very, very conservatively because it is quite risky. There is an engineer at my church that has a few $10,000 CDs that he hopes to add a little more to by the time he retires, and he said that he has them all maturing a month apart from each other, which will allow him to almost live off the interest alone. Savings is always a safe bet too.
