On one hand we should be proud that we have a country that so many people want to get into just because they can get jobs so easily. It sucks however that people will hire them. But if you were a business man and could line your pockets even more by only paying $5 an hour I bet a majority of everyone here would.

Its going to take more than a wall to keep the mexicans out....

Oh wow, you's have no clue what Mexico is about, and yet you's go off of assumptions. Incredible. Poor people stay poor, rich people stay rich. It's just like the "American" way. That's how it is. I have an aunt that lives in a house that is falling apart. Barely got running water. She's ill and on crutches. She's also surviving on her daughter working and bring home money and food to the house. How is that so different than the U.S.? If your mother is in the same situation, what would you? You'd help right? Same thing happens down there. My cousin supports her 2 sisters and mother. It's not much different other than the pay is better up in the U.S.
You guys said it yourselves, it's good that people want to come to U.S. and try to make something of themselves. The U.S. is so great right? Yeah right, when even after we're done going through the hard work to become a citizen, we still get called names and get told to go back to our country. Why would Mexico build a wall? It's the "Americans" that made their society the way it is right? Immigrants want to blend in and become citizens and WANT to better America. Sure not all of the immigrants go that route and are bad people, but I'm pretty sure not all "Americans" are good people as well.
You's talk about getting legal first in the U.S., AND THEN you's are good with those people right? Wanna know how long my mom, dad, and a few of my uncles had to wait to become CITIZENS??? Took my mom 12 years, took my dad 10 years, one of my uncles 6 years, and another took 16 years! 16 YEARS!!!! What was he doing in the mean time? Waiting. That's it. He submitted the required material, had to get some stuff fixed and resubmitted, and he waited. While they waited, what did they do? They worked their butts off. My parents came with nothing and worked to get what we have. We've bought countless cars, houses, furniture, etc etc. When I was in 7th grade, I helped my parents through the test. They were dedicated to passing it. I believe I know how hard some immigrants work to becoming citizens. Yes, it's harder due to the illegals. But that's just how much harder the law abiding ones work for it.
As for the government of Mexico, if you think U.S.'s is corrupt, Mexico's is even more. You's go ahead and try to change that. Good luck. Oh that's right, U.S. isn't having any luck with their's either. Shame. Money talks. Plain and simple. Live with it.

So that explains why youre so against closing up the border. Im not saying I dont understand why people in mexico want to come here, everyone would want better for their family, but on the other hand there simply isnt enough room or resources to go around in this country and its not our job to make sure mexicans get a better life. Thats why I said the real solution to the problem would be to get Mexico fixed so they dont want to come here in the first place. It is not the US's responsibility to let people in our country just because they have it rough in their country. That is not our problem. There are countries that have it far worse off than Mexico. According to your logic we should just let them all come here right? Cause they have it rough too.

You totally misunderstand me. I'm not against closing the border. I'm against everyone's negative attitude towards immigrants. I use my family as an example, but that doesn't mean I'm all for Mexico as well. That's not the only country that immigrants come from. They come from everywhere else as well. According to how you think, if U.S. helps Mexico, everyone else will want help. And as you stated, there isn't enough money or resources to help countless countries. Instead, that's why immigrants are asking for reform with the laws. So the U.S. wants 5,000 in fees for illegal immigrants for that Z visa or whatever. That's fine, it needs work, but it's a start(as I stated before). But that's what it might cost in their country to get all the paperwork and whatever else they need just to START the process in their country to be able to come to U.S. legally. See what I mean? So not only do some immigrants spend a ton of money to get to the U.S.( legally or illegally), they have to spend a lot more to start their lives here. Nothing is free in the almighty U.S. Nothing is free in other countries either. People do drastic measures to have a better life. U.S. understand other countries are far worse than us, but even trying to help other countries takes time. Money doesn't matter when countries are suffering. Time kills people more than money does.

Well lets see...what do I have against illegal immigration- I dunno, how about a general dumbing down of America? I have no problem with people who are coming to our country to better it- doctors, engineers etc... But people who don't have much more than a 3rd grade education aren't helping this country one bit except providing cheap labor which isn't that hard to get anyway. When two dumb people procreate, what do you typically get- dumb kids. I know there are exceptions, but the stats don't lie.

But I don't get what point you were getting at. You basically answered your own points. Yeah, getting a legal immigration is tougher because of the illegals. Basically it seems to me that you want some sympathy because of how hard your family had to work? Well guess what- I sympathize to a point, but its not my fault. If it was such a pain to try and get into and our country is so bad, why didn't your family choose any one of the other dozen countries in the world that aren't 3rd world- i.e. Canada, Western Europe.

If you are going to come here and ***** about how tough it was to get in and try and get sympathy then IMO you aren't much better than anyone else. If its so bad here and our country is so corrupt, last time I checked there were roads leading back to Mexico that are open 24/7....

BTW- I's not sure wheres you's is from, but in's Americas there's no such word as you's -At first I thought is was a typo, but the obvious repeated use of it ruled that out.

It's not like the U.S. is better in a educational stand point. "Americans" can afford to pass dumb students. Whether U.S. born or not. What race do blonde jokes make fun of? "American". Who lets these dumb students pass? The teachers. Are we cracking down on them? Somewhat. It's up to parents to see how smart their kids are and what they can do to improve them. With no money, can't afford to get a better education. I'm not asking for sympathy, just asking people to see both sides of the story.

I like to back up my own points, unlike the other posts that make no sense whatsoever.

And if we're going to start complaining about proper english, don't forget proper punctuation as well. Plus, last I heard, "dunno" wasn't a word either bro.
