When you talk about saving time then you need to understand that if you are taking public transport for traveling around the city then you probably need to wait for the train or the bus to arrive and you would also need to spend time getting to the station or the bus stop as well. I went for a used car in South Africa because just because taking the public transport was firstly, too much of hassle and secondly, it takes a lot of time. What other ways are there for people to save time without having to drive?
