Burning movies, that whole scene.
Ok, I have the program DVD shrink on my computer. I ripped the DVD. It is in these weird file formats, but i want to be able to convert these files into a) .avi, or Mpeg2. After i have a program that can do that, which that is what im asking, my goal is to cut the movie in half and burn it onto 2 seperate dics as a VCD. I have the program that cuts them in half and i can burn them in VCD. Now i just need to know that program that will convert these files that i have never seen before. The files are BUP and IFO files, which i need a program that will convert them into Mpeg2, or .avi. I already have a copule programs that convert, but they only convert .avi to Mpeg2, so yeah and help would be great.

um, is there any real reason u need it to be mpeg2?.. what i do is use a program called "dvd shrink" and it scans the dvd an i can select parts of it to "copy" most of the time, the movie its self can fit on a 4gig blank dvd, so all i do is "copy" that part an burn with nero.

Yesa, i have that program, but i dont have a dvd burner, thats y i want it to be put in avi. But now i just think im going to suck it up and after i buy my car, just get a external dvd player for like 140 and then just burn them. And for the meantime watch them off the comp, i guess, b/c this is getting way to complicated, and difficult to find this one program.

I am using DVD Shrink with Nero and tried to do Ray and it kept coming up problem then I tried to do Little black book with the same results.
Anyone know if there is a new way to burn these now or am I the only one having this problem
