Young gun can only hope to improve
headphone jacks are only for output my friend....

if ur stereo has input of any kind then its possible....if not ur out of luck as far as i know (this is only if you are trying to get the output from your computer INTO the stereo)

OR

you could connect your stereo to ouput to the input on the computer
given u have a more advanced sound card find the audio in jack and connect them... that would let you reccord sound that is being outputted by ur stereo so u could reccord from radio or a tape...

My Sony 300 CD player has fibre optic out put, and my amp has auxillary inputs for I think 15 accessories, in addition to optic input . Maybe it's time to upgrade your system.
