The NSX I have handles about 150% better than the zo6 I had (same mods done to each car). It is an MR car compared to an FR car, but the zo6 is one of the BETTER handling american cars and it handles like in the game.

Another thing that is pissing me off is how the game displays 3 different horsepower values for the cars....When Entering you garage beside the car's name there will be an XXX value for the HP. But when you actually select the car and look at its spec that XXX value will be 10-20 hp different. And then after a race before the replay comes up there is a screen that says the car make/model and its horsepower and its is also a different number. Yes I realize there is HP and BHP but I don't think that is what it is because if it was there would be much larger differences between the numbers...
There is a few other things that I am not happy about with GT4 but I cant seem to think of them at the moment...

What I also find really stupid is having many different car manufacturers and only listing one car per manufacturer, or having useless cars that nobody cares about. They could've definately added some better variety to the car selection.
And they have SOME muscle cars, but a lot were left out.. like the Charger is the only real muscle car of the era? For 's sake. Damn japs. Where's the GTO? 429 Mustang Cobra? Olds 442? I'm glad they had the Cougar XR7 in there though, just gotta get to the point of unlocking it now.
It would've been cool to see a lot more American cars.. if they have a whole Saleen manufacturer category, why not the S281E? 05 Saleen? N20 Focus as someone mentioned.. or even an fox-body Saleen mustang would've been damn awesome to see.
I also noticed the horsepower rating differences.. I haven't the slightest idea what they mean. But re american cars in GT4, I found the 05 Mustang to be a great car. I built one up before I became bored and scratched that game, but it goes pretty good and even faster with some mods, and it handles and brakes really well without the need for upgrades.
Really cool game though, I wish I had an HDTV and a dolby digital surround system to get the full effect

My god you people complain a lot..
Boo hoo.. the American cars don't handle... boo hoo the HP numbers are different... WHO THE CARES. As if it's the end of the world or some .
I've never gone out and bought an American car in GT3, not so far in GT4.. why would I tho? there are so many better cars from the European and Japanese markets. My BMW's all handle VERY well... My M5 outhandles full blown race cars, and my CSL is light yet very nimble. I have 350Z race cars which are just awsome, and my R33 skyline which handles like a brick, but probably the best starter car you can get.
I have a HPA R32 Golf, which goes like stink but doesn't handle quite too well, but that could be that the suspension still needs some tuning... I don't really drive that car too much... I like my BMW's.
As for the NSX handling better then the Z06.... why is that hard to believe? I'm sure in real life the NSX would kill the Z06 on almost any track. And a 69 Camaro (or anything from that era) will never handle great... the chassis and suspensions just sucked back then, as did the weight distribution.
I do agree with one thing that there are way too many different/same varients of the same car in GT4... just like there were like 20 Skylines in GT3. But hey, it's a Japanese game... what do u expect? I think of this game as Bestmotoring DVD's in representing their cars...
And memory card issues? lol... never had a problem, and it's never bothered me... I just buy the cars I want.. and mod them accordingly... and if spent too much money on a car, I go out and drive a Championship over again, no biggie... that's the name of the game. The autosave feature doesn't bother me one bit.
either way, you people should complain less and just play the ing game... or at least give it to someone who won't complain. I think they did an amazing job in pulling every last bit of the PS2's power (or lack of) to make an amazing game, and I think the next Sony console will allow them go create the next gen GT game to just blow people away compleatly with TRUE HDTV support and 5.1 digital sound... lots of memory and probably a HD... Kiss your X-Box's goodbye.

I wasn't complaining as if it was the end of the world. It was constructive criticism.
I'm surprised you don't agree there should be other, other M3's. Very Suprised.

We could argue all day about what cars should be in/out in GT4. But I've yet to see anyone not acknowledge there are more Skyline's than necessary, while other JDM Supercars or Euro Supercars are either only available Used or Not at all. Case in point the Supra. So many Skylines and the only stock Supra's you can buy are used. We really needed the M-Spec Nur that bad that the BMW E30 couldn't be included? There are 14 different variations of the S2000 which is a relatively poor car to race and tune, but only a few RUF cars....and no Carrera GT? Surely RUF most have something available for the Carrera that GT4 could've renamed it from a Porsche for licensing purposes.
Reasonable criticism.
As for the horsepower. It's a **** off. According to two figures my STI Spec C should qualify for the super car race which requires 493? hp. My garage lists it as 497 and after a race 494, but apparently it's 491.
I'd say that's a reasonable complaint. It's like going to the track and getting 3 different times. Which one is correct?

Anyone know what power rating is which? The displaying after a race is always a bit lower than the one in the settings screen, and the one at the top of the screen before a race is just wacky. My 650 hp RX-7 was reading 276 hp.
Also.. just received my first new-age touring car from a series. Option 350Z. Holy crap that car is awesome.. it doesn't have the incredible acceleration of my RX-7, but it still goes damn fast.. the best part are the suspension and brakes. They're amazing! My RX-7 just plows into corners as I have the brakes hammered with tires squealing.. I mean I'm usually entering the corners faster with the 7, but there's still an incredible difference in braking power. I sure wish race parts like that were available as mods. Racing brakes feel like 4-wheel drums compared to those.

Look Guys the Newb found the Copy and Paste buttons!
The power ratings are all ed up. My STI Spec C is 497 and 491 HP...
I had the Option Z, it accelerated to slow for my taste, the brakes weren't too good until I upgraded them. Personally wasn't a big fan so I sold it and invested more money into my Supra.
