I work for rogers communications and this is something that happens to phones sometimes. ur issue could no doubt be fixed by a simple software upgrade from samsung. if u like, shoot me ur location and i will find the nearest service centre that can help you.

My location is Oakville... Near Sauaga.... So you say its a software problem eh? Does that mean i can go to any rogers to get the software updated, or no?

prolly not to rogers unless u visit the master repair centre in brampton, i will find u a location of a samsung svc centre, i believe there is one in etobicocke. yeah software, cuz from wut ur saying, your reception isn't suffering, only the freezing and glitches right?


worse comes to worse, samsung will swap it out for another. if the need to send it away, i will find u a place that has "loaner" GSM phones u can use while we send it to samsung for u, so u still have full access to your service and won't miss calls.

I bought a motorla v635 last tuesday...and it would reset or whatever evertyime I would close the phone (flip phone) And i got this phone because my old motorla would do the same. So after 3 days it starts to shut down reset when I close it and go to rogers at southdown and lakeshore and they said Ill have to send it in and wiat 3 weeks to get it repaired.. for free at least... they gave me a loaner phone and it sucks ***. Overall Im very pissed because i wanted a new phone and they said it has to have under 30 minutes and i had almost a hour... Service is amazing... But Motorola is pissing me off...... but their phones are soo sick...

Oh ya when i got the phone the memory card in the box was cracked in two pieces..... Wondering maybe that box was droped or returned I dunno how it works....

the store should have exchanged the phone under a 30 day DOA policy from motorola. I'd complain to the manager of the store if i were u. now ur without ur brand new handset days after purchase buecause they don't want to swap it for u? I'd be pissed.

we do sell a huge amount of motorola, but they do present themselves to be the most problematic in my experience of 8 years in the wireless industry. but people keep buying them.

at least they are true to their word on warranty. and if ur phone goes in 3 times for svc, they swap it out for a refurb unit.

call them if u like and get more info 1 800 461 4575 mon-fri 8am-7pm est/std time

Ya I was pretty firm but still for half and hour he kept saying its over 30 minutes of talk time theres no way he can replace it. Thanks for the advice anyway. Hopefully I'll get it back by christmas, considering it was a early gift... LOL

well if its already gone out there's not much that can be done, however. if you ask them who their district sales manager is, (I believe his name is Oliver ****, you said wireless wave right?) I can get you his contact info if u like. once you express how dissatisfied you were and it wouldn't hurt to call customer service to file whats called an agent feedback form. let oliver know you are doing that, it will motivate him to make you a happy customer.

My phone is almost brand new and is covered underneath warranty... So would i have to pay to have it send away and have a loaner phone?

nope not at all. its just a hasssel that could have been avoided for u by just swapping the handset out. before i started working at the call centre i presently am at, i was a store manager, and before that I worked in retail wireless for almost 6 yrs. I know we can do this stuff as i have done it before. under 30 days, just swap it. the 30 day 30 min rule only applies to returning a phone and cancelling your contract.

that dealer has some wires crossed.

Ok So heres the deal... I sent it in to get it reapaired and nobody wanted to give me a new phone. whatever right. its free to fix.. so its been a week and i get a txt msg saying to go pick up i get there its 6 17 and the guy says they close at 6.. i just tell him i want my phone and i have the loaner phone ready.. he made some bs up whatever... Ok heres the deal .. so your telling me I could of gotten a BRAND NEW PHONE ... Because they kept telling me no no im wrong then he somehow started talking about future shop... Ok I just want to know what I should do.. basiclly my phones ready but this pos phone has no reception anywhere... i missed enough calls... Even if they give me a new phone I still wont be satisfied.... So simon.. where they right?? Oh and i was over 30 minutes thing... Can i still get a new phone or what.. Because i know its gonna keep happinging like i did in the past.

Need your advice man, thanks alot....
