tablet pc's, what do you think?
 

what are youse guys opinions on tablet pc's. im looking to get one, but still dont know if its worth it (for school purposes) :dunno:

Why do you need tablet for? If its for taking notes, just get a normal laptop, youll save a ton of cash that way too.

Touch Screen = high maintainence..
If you're not careful, you can break it within a year~

we've had several at work. Keep in mind the ibm X40 ones use a 1.8" drive which is incredibly slow. As well like the others have said its high maintenance and more of a marketing scam.

you can probably type a hell of a lot faster than you can write. As well its a lot clearer to read later hehe

yeah normal machines run a lot leaner too

they have this gateway one at best buy that is pretty sweet looks like its pretty fast and wont' give a lot of problems i like tablet's but i'd probably wait till they go cheaper to get one... just becuase i'd probably just use it to take the notes then send ti to my regualr pc.

don't waste your money on a tablet PC

go buy a MAC.
