What should I get a PS3 or Xbox360?? Help Me!
 

Hey everyone I'm trying to decide between the PS3 80gb and the xbox360 elite. I deffinatly want to get the better system so for all you gamers lwt me know your opinions. I like alot of racing games; I have always liked the Gran Turismo series but I dont want to only buy the PS3 just for the new gran turismo. I will be using the system to play some some movies as well. I know with the xbox I'll need the hd dvd rom in order to play high def movies.

Let me know what system has the better games, less problems and pretty much overall the better system. I'm going to be buying the system in the next couple of weeks.

Its all personal preference tho. Try out the 360 and see if theres any games you like. Then try out the PS3.

If you like racing games the ps3 has a good selection. My personal fav is F1 Champinoship, theres nothing else like it out on the market. Really good game:smilie_da

In the end its all up to you tho...

If you value graphics you'll beef up your PC. Thats what separates the real gamers from the nubs. But if you really want console, I have an X360 and I wouldn't trade it for anything. Forget about the technical differences between the x360 and ps3, the x360 has more games, and better games then the PS3. Should be an easy decision.

For me Xbox Takes the cake! PS3 has the graphic but the game selection is weak. I am a huge multiplayer gamer and if thats what your into, then Xbox, hands down!

PS3 will be goin down march or so to 300$, however i think it is the 40gb...thats what i am waiting for....

ve got a 360 and im buying a ps3 after xmas only because ive now got a 72 inch tv and id like to watch blue ray movies on there to take advantage of what the tv has to offer :D

ps3 has over 170 games coming out in the very near future, so dont let game selection fool you... i own a ps3 and i love it. i've played both and to tell you the truth, they're all fun... it's video games, it'll be fun either way you look at it.

Seeing as how HD-DVD is essentially dead in the water now that nearly all the major studios are backing blu-ray, from that point of view the PS3 is the better choice. It's also one the cheapest and best blue-ray players on the market.

As far as games go, well, if you're a hardcore gamer you'll get both. I prefer the PS3 myself simply because I use it as a total entertainment console (I do most of my gaming on the PC), but I can't wait for GT5 to come out.

ive got both... and to be perfectly honnest... the one that is the most fun is the 360... but the one that gives me the most problems is the 360... ps3 has never even coughed once... its free psn not quite as good as xbl or as many ppl but itll catch up.. I say if u really had to choose one :P 360 haha

i say ps3 simply because it has a list of advantages. I was in the same position as you then i decided to get the 80gb ps3. blu ray thing, its got wireless controllers, it goes online for free, looks cooler, games are hella real life looking, and hey.. its playstation.. WAY better than microsoft. only thing i wish it did was cook me food.. but hey u cant get the best of both worlds...or can you?

Xbox 360 will be more fun then the ps3. I currently have both and I find i use xbox 360 for playing games and streaming videos then my ps3.

gotta go with PS3, sure they don't have as many exclusive games for it as XBOX might have (then again M$ was smart to buy out one of the bigger companies that makes games)
but nevertheless PS3 games that are out there are pretty damn good

i would say a 360 because you like racing games, the steering wheel is amazing.

PS3 for sure, mind you 360 offers some nice games.. but then again, it's MicroSoft.. and lets face it, If it's anything like their OS's, you know it's going to need a billion updates at SOME point. :laugh:

PS3 now that bluray has dominated the market. Not only that, ps3 is more advanced and bluray can hold up to 50gb (DL) and xbox with up to 8gb (DL) with a normal dvd. U will soo more and more games and developers going to ps3 for the image quality.

I say the 360 wins this one.

First off how important is multiplayer support? IMPORTANT. Ps3 online play doesnt come close to Xbox live. The product support and networking on Xbox live is amazing. Games like the new grand theft auto, halo are great on their own however LIVE takes the gaming to a whole new level.

Also in regards to the format war, yes ps3 wins with the blue ray. Microsoft will likely release a blue ray addon, but still its an addon. Personally I dont use my systems for dvd/HD playback. Even when I had ps2 i barely used it for dvd movies. In comparison to the QUALITY of PS3's blue ray player to independent bluerays currently on the market, Id much rather an independent unit as they are much better.

Benchmark comparisons on game quality done by reputable gaming sites have shown that 360 takes it. Also with all the exclusives how can I not choose 360.

Im not saying Sony has a bad system, however they have been doing a terrible job of marketing, promotion and partnering with developers. Just recently they've been putting a bit of a push which has people saying "its about time". Finally they are putting out some titles and making the effort to tell their customers about it.

Finally the price. Sony has done a great job of cutting their price and releasing the 40gb model, but interestingly with a few components missing from the previously higher priced models. Hmmm. Explains the price cut. Google and you'll understand.

Xbox360 definitely still wins in terms of value.

ps3 is better than xbox because they were making concoles/dvd players way before microsoft and when a PS goes no big deal when a Xbox goes it takes part of the house
