$5000 for a shell?
WTF is going on?
I was just reading in the WTB some guy wants to sell his shell of stang for 5 g's, an 87 hatch at that..
Umm.. for another $4000 i would have let my 93 with built motor, full suspension, and more with 71K on it go.. no rain and no snow even...LOL (ok, i say that.. but really)
Either im ripping myself off or this market is retarded
There was a great write up by the editor in Modified Mustangs about how the prices of stangs are OUTRAGEOUS, i agree.
Well, there’s a sucker born everyday i guess.

With the cost of fixing up a stang you get for 4000 or so (unless you can find one in great shape for that price), it's really not such a bad idea to pay a premium for a nice stang.
I went the other way and got one for 2 grand, needless to say I ended up changing out just about the entire drivetrain... new trans goes in in a few days and I kind of wish I had spent that money on an already mint stang. Ah well.

See now that is a great deal. There was a guy in here selling a clean looking LX hatch, less than 5K, and it looked mint. He sold it before the weekend (a shame) but i mean, 5K for a shell
Stangs are FAR too overpriced at the moment
