22" rims

i want to put "22" rims on my car do you think it will do damage to the car ? i live in new york where pot holes are crazy. or is it better to put 20" rims and lowering kit and drop it 2" ? does it work out to the same thing ?

You will need to modify the steering bump Stops for wheels that big there might be a kit online
