Aright, I drive a 96 V6 5 sp. Got alot of miles on it but in pretty good shape! Ran perfect up untill a couple days ago! I put a cold air intake on it a while back before last winter. Ran fine with the maf sensor plugged in! All of a sudden the other day it died on me when i started it up! Now it wont run with the maf plugged in, but will with it unplugged just very rough, will backfire and bog down if i try n give it gas! Please help me!

Sounds like you need to find a new MAF sensor. Thankfully those cars are plentiful in the scrap yards so you can score a MAF sensor pretty cheap I think. Worst case scenario, you can borrow someones MAF sensor to see if yours is the true fault or if it could be something else.
From your description it sounds like a faulty MAF sensor but it's hard to diagnose without testing it myself.

ok so i have another question! I havent bought a new maf sensor yet and my car has been sitting! I located one on ebay becuase ALL of the junk yards in a 30 mile radius of me dont have any mustangs near my year! The one on ebay is from a 2002 V6. Will that work for my 96?

If it plugs in it will work.Worse case scenerio i have motor and tranny out of 95 i will sell you they have 98,000 on them 3.8 auto stangfan price 600 everything there harness for both air intake and rad motor isw compleat pan to intake iven manifolds y pipe cats everything
