Yeah, the SHO will eat you for lunch. It was a special High output yamaha motor that ford put in them. It was kinda like an SVT Taurus. For a big car, they are very fast. They put a V8 in them around 1997 or so wich will give the Mustang a good go for the money. Just race him for ***** and giggles, and if you win, definately rub it in. But yeah, more than likely, he will eat you up and spit you out

Sorry this was a reply to phatgreat walls topic "please move"

The V8 car was weak, the 1989 was the most impressive one of the bunch.

The SHO was not a slow car. My parents had a 99 SHO V8, thing put out like 275 HP. It was a little rocket..a horrible winter car and a gas guzzler. I miss it.

Yeah, I've run my buddy's old SHOs a few times. They're pretty fast, and keep pulling past redline, which is 8 grand, I think. The only issue is that they're big and heavy, so while they're a great straight line car, they're crap in corner's and breaking. They're also a bitch to work on. Since they're huge, they need brakes and front suspension work nearly every 6 months, you need to remove the entire from clip and tilt the engine forward to change the 3 rear spark plugs, and they rust like hell around the windshield and upper door sills. Other than those main problems they're a mean car, and I'm not even a Ford guy.

Cheers!

275 hp?????? What the hell did you have done to it? They were only rated at 235 hp, and that's at the crank!!!!
