clutch and seat info

I have an 89 and was in bad need of a seat and a clutch on a tight budget. I replaced the seat with the Procar Scat seat for 149.99. I had to order a separate bracket for it. The seat is way better than the factory one, especially if the factory seat has developed the dreaded gangsta lean to it. The bracket had to be modified a bit but it went in pretty easy. I cut part of the bottom off on the front and the seat to get my knees off the steering whell and its a little off center, so I have to go back in with a bigger hammer to get it centered up.

For the clutch I went with the fidanza budget kit. Comes with every thing you need. I was a little weary of a budget kit for a modified car, but this set up works great and has very light pedal pressure. Fidanza says its good to 350hp, but a few articles I read said 450. I'm running about 350 to the wheels. No chatter and no slip with this kit. The only issue I had was not being able to get the factory alignment pins into the fidanza fly wheel. Just made getting it all in a little more fun.

seat 80-1605-61L $149
clutch 381500 $342
seat mounting bracket 942-81828 $68

Got it all out of Jegs

Hope this helps
Have fun

The sliders that come with the seat. I've had no problem with them. I way about 220lb and launch the hell out of the car. They were fine. I let one of my neighbors sit in it to try out the seat. He's around 280lbs. Not good. Don't do that. The rear left bracket bent. I pulled it, heated it and bent it back into shape. I also reinforced it with a little extra metal to brace it. If you're up over the 250 mark you must reinforce it or go with a a seat that has better mounting hardware.
