Head Gasket

hi, i have a 91 ford explorer with 160 kms and the headgasket is gone, does anyone have a guide with pictures that i can follow to change this myself cuz i was quoted at 600 to do it and i dont want to pay that kind of money. Or if anyone knows where i can find a guide for it. THanks alot

did a quick search on google replacing head gaskets - Google Search just read through a few to see if you still want to do it.

i did this research already. There is only one problem i got like 100 dollars. enuff for the headgasket alone so i cant afford the labour to put it in so no matter what i gonna got to do it myself.

This is a pretty big task if its your first head gasket. I learnt the hardway years ago, ended up towing the car (friggen long tubes)..anyways...

Save some money and grab a Chiltons from Canadian Tire.

You should take the head to a machine shop and to make sure the head is not warped.
