is rear axle is still solid, like in regular GT, or is it finally live, like in proper sports cars?

What I heard from some people here, that the new Cobra which is coming out soon, will have live axle. So.. if this GT-R is racing inspired , I think it would be wise to put live axle in it.

A live axle IS a solid axle. Your thinking of IRS (independant rear suspension). This is what the Cobra will have.
