your gonna need to find a distributor from an older stang or 302 with the duraspark II box. if you don't have that already.

I need to know if it will plug into my wire harness in my1986. But I was told that I had to cut two wires on the duraspark box , but they aren't sure which wires they are. One has have a hot wire to it ,the other is a ground. Do you which they are? Thanks You For The MAIL.

Was your 86 originally a 5.0 car? If you were to EFI the car using the 86 dash you would need to find an original 86 5.0 engine and computer harness.
Since you're going carb'd, you'll need an older (82-85) Duraspark distributor and the Duraspark ignition box. You'll also need the corresponding wiring harness.
I'll need some more details on the car. Is there a wiring harness in there? Was it a 5.0/3.8/2.3? Any details you can give will help in determining what steps are required to get a carb'd motor to run in your '86.
