I have a 1986 mustang with a 1987 eng. I'm also carborated the car because i don't want fuel injection people tell me that i can use the stock distrbuter. My car also had a computer in it i took out and has no electric fuel pump.

I need to know if it will plug into my wire harness in my1986. But I was told that I had to cut two wires on the duraspark box , but they aren't sure which wires they are. One has have a hot wire to it ,the other is a ground. Do you which they are? Thanks You For The MAIL.

Since you're going carb'd, you'll need an older (82-85) Duraspark distributor and the Duraspark ignition box. You'll also need the corresponding wiring harness.
I'll need some more details on the car. Is there a wiring harness in there? Was it a 5.0/3.8/2.3? Any details you can give will help in determining what steps are required to get a carb'd motor to run in your '86.
