Good thing.....it was about to get shut down.

Just so everybody knows, that kind of crap will not be tolerated ever again. How do you promote a site that allows that kind of trash talking and foul language?

If you guys really like this site, knock it off with the swears, at least stay away from the f word and such.

PS. this site has been real well behaved since I got here, I really like it, it's like CCA used to be.

i've got a question for the master

i'm buying a 86 GT on sat, and i'm anticipating more than 200,000 clicks.

best way to restore compression and cut sludge? (and will it cost much deniero?)

Depends on several variables. I've seen and bought cars with 300k+ KM and the motors had good compression and on one teardown you could still see the crosshatch in the bores! It all depends on how well it was maintained.

There are a few ways to do this, and I'm going to assume you know how to rebuild an engine yourself. This will be the greatest cost cutting measure.
Pull the motor apart, check all the tolerances and clean all the parts. Hopefully, an overbore is not needed and a light hone will be all thats needed. Check the crank and pistons for uneven wear, if the crank needs to be machined then you will have to buy the corresponding bearings. New quality rings will be needed as well as a good Fel Pro gasket set. Make sure you opt for the metal reinforced oil pan and valve cover gaskets. While the motor is apart, have the pistons flycut and install some ARP rod bolts. A new timing chain would most likely be necessary now. ARP head bolts would also be ideal since you're considering a blower.
Since you're using an 86 motor, the heads will be junk so either replace them with E7TE heads from an 87-95 5.0 HO or spend a bit more and get the GT40P heads from an Explorer. You can also upgrade to the 87-93 upper intake and throttle body etc which is much better than the 86 version, also another good upgrade would be the Explorer intake which I've seen go for as little as $150 US!!!! It flows the same as a Cobra intake at half the cost.
Cost can be anywhere from $500 to $2500 depending on who does the work and what needs to be replaced/repaired/machined.

My 90' GT ran a 14.7@95 with crap tires, and a blown trac-loc without power-shifting (Thats with a crappy 2.4 60 foot time too) so they could get into low 14s at least I think. Only mod on it was flowmaster 3-chambers.

Heres a question... what kinda power would I be looking at if I put a paxton or vortech on my stock 5.0 at 12psi and what more would it take (if any) to get 350hp to the wheels?

Although I'm with you on this one, this thread was posted BEFORE I became a moderator. And thanks for the kind words, I pride myself on my useless knowledge of Mustangs.
And just for the record, I dont take too kind to people insulting me which usually results in me insulting them. But as a mod, now I have to keep myself in check which hasn't been a problem thus far

I doubt you'd have the nuts to even attempt to choke a man like Tupac. You're nowhere near his level, and the man's been dead over 10 years.
And Rico, I've always been a proud . Montreal is just making me take it out on the french.

Pfft, yea, you'd know eh ********.

You practically lived with Tupac didn't you? Tupac's on a very different level than me for sure though, he's on the about 6 foot under level because someone knew he was a moron and capped him before I ever had a chance.

Hey what kind of life have you had Tupac?....Oh Uhmmmmmm, lemme look at my belly.....ohhhh yea, a thug life
